Hi, So I was thinking about special ammo (in PVP) and its a very touchy issue. A lot of people are enjoying primary usage being high but simultaneously PvP is increasingly repetitive, in terms of with special weapon encounters. I miss the days when I would be fusion killed from half way across the map or saw a legendary sniper in anything but the first round of trials. Shotguns have been nerfed, badly, a slight restoration of special ammo would bring forth a variety of weapon usage. Ice breaker and no land would no longer be a combined 10% of kills in the crucible. My idea would be when you die you loose 3 quarters of your ammo. If you have any less than 4 peaces of ammo you just start with none. This way you can sometimes keep a little ammo in the mag when you die and a switch to icebreaker wouldn't be essential after you die or a round ends. This would promote variety while keeping a majority primary meta. (This change would not apply to side arms) This would give you very little ammo, almost nothing, but that one or two shots you would get would help you fight off a sidearm spammer or an icebreaking camper while you wait to find more special. This change would not change too much but the almost need to use a weapon that slightly bypasses the special nerf. I would also suggest a reduction in the specials ammo crate time, potentially a reduction of 15 seconds. I miss my LDR so much but I feel like am at such a disadvantage when i don't use a special bypass weapon. Yes, when I play control I suck it up and use it but I mostly play skirmish and trials and people are sweating constantly. Not having special hurts you so much. This is my opinion, I understand a lot of people will disagree with me but I was thinking about ways more people could be happy before Destiny one ends. I ask anyone to give suggestions below on any other ideas they have and to let me know if you agree with me.
