I think you both have some points. Regardless of the "rose colored goggles" effect, Bungie messed up their game before it was even launched. It was doomed from the start. This whole 3 year experience was Bungie trying to fix the game, which only ruined it further. That is why nothing is carrying over to D2, for the hard reset, and all the supposed lies. The game is broken, and they are having to start from scratch.
