I am an eagle.
A hawk.
A bird of prey, no less.
I ignite the world, my wings skim the ground.
My guardian stokes my forges and I fly.
I bring the sun into his hand. He wields it as a weapon.
I am that weapon.
I appear. I impact. I appear again.
My burning talons tear my enemies. I am a ruthless devourer. I am a hot wind. I am a blazing fire.
I am Sol.

Gotta do that trending edit, right? Nope.

Edited by Dr_Sorethumb: 2/5/2017 8:16:04 AMHere's my take: It was deemed one of the mightest weapons a Guardian could wield, striking fear and sheer awe into both the Darkness and other Guardians alike. The ability to blaze a path through the greatest of foes with a combination of majesty, effortlessness and sheer terror. The mere presence of one that could summon the Hammers would cause other Guardians and Tower residents to speak in hushed tones of the deeds, myths and legends of the Sunbreakers. It was deemed too much; the Speaker and Consensus feared that those that could wield the flaming implements would be consumed by their very power, and thus deviate from the path of the Light. Not to mention the other Guardians who complained that the potential of the Hammers would render their abilities obsolete and unnecessary. Their wings were clipped to ensure the Sunbreakers' loyalty to the Tower and to avoid a Warlock and Hunter rebellion. A difficult decision, but a necessary one nonetheless.
