Off World Transit, and Last exit

Off World Transit http://imgur.com/a/1fecv It's been in the game since launch. Only now do we have a further glimpse of what it might be. Freehold station and Tharsis Junction locations on Mars that only were part of the story. We revisited Tharsis Junction when we fought a Taken outbreak. Of course we found an entrance to the Black Garden and spent the majority of the mission there, but that entrance was assumed to be created by the strange workings of the Black Garden: however, there is an interesting implication with the new Crucible map Last Exit. What before was an isolated company on Mars now been found on Venus. Mars being the M Line and Venus the V line. Many of the designs of both are similar, but there are some keen differences. For instance in Last Exit there is a very interesting map showing the different train lines, when there is only one line shown in the map on Mars. The trains appear different and the layout of both stations is quite different. While these observations may seem to be tidbits most have picked up on it's the similarities that are quite interesting. Last Exit features a new train map and many new design elements; it also features the old P1 line map found on mars, while also housing platform 1 (image of the platform 1 sign to come you can find it at the bottom of the staircase at the engineering area.). This is a strange thing considering how easy it would be to change or just not to include. Especially since they already went to greater lengths to change existing graphics or create new ones. The existence of platform 1 in Last exit and the fact that it includes the P1 line map highly suggests that the Off World Transit truly went offworld. Connecting planets in some form of teleportation or transmat more than likely. Shuttling people between planetary colonies is not beyond the realm of what is possible in Destiny Lore. A small area of speculation, but one of vast possibilities is that the Vex appear both around the Ishtar Sink and around the Buried City. Perhaps one day OFT will be involved in the story behind the Vex introduction to the Destiny universe. It is said the Vex come from another dimension, perhaps Off World Transit was the catalyst to the Vex Infestation. Especially since Overall it's a topic open to debate since there are correlations, but not concise answers. Those looking into the Last exit Puzzle may be interested to know that there is a similar code in Tharsis Junction along with similar numbering found in the train map along the walls.

  • It's more than likely just a bunch of random shit artists came up with and when the content cutting cleaver came out they just decided to reuse them instead of spending time to design new models/textures. I'd like to believe that all these little unexplained oddities all amount to something, but I already know the sad truth. That truth being they were just story boarded concepts that were outright removed and the leftovers were used anyways so they could sell a game. They've had over 2 years to come up with a narrative, and compared to their previous titles and other AAA series such as mass effect, their attempt at creating lore and PROPERLY implementing it into this game cannot even be described as half-assed. Even calling it quarter-assed is being generous.
