Why have you tried it yourself or has it been confirmed elsewhere?

Progress on the monitors is tied to the loaded instance (aka the raid) and not your character.

So my progress is saved with my checkpoint and I can continue the rest or do i have to start fresh? (we did all steps but left it at the end boss )
