There's a major flaw in your theory though...... the exos were not humans ever. They were created in humanities image. Meaning they were created to look like humans.

My other niche with this is the part where the exo stranger states "no I was not forged in light". I could be wrong but I was under the impression that the traveler was the one who forged the exo-guardians. If this is true, how did she know the process to forge "ascendant-exos"? If not forged in light, than it must've been darkness right? Why resort to that extreme of a measure? Where was she able to attain such darkness?How was she able to forge HERSELF via the darkness?

It doesnt have to be darkness if its not light....she might as well be created in the void which is light as well as darkness......remember the reef? It lingers BETWEEN light and darkness.....

Exos were built by Clovis Bray in the golden age. Forged in light means she was not created from the light the traveler put in ghosts at the collapse that now inhabits guardians. Your ghost says "are you a guardian?" And she says "no"

I understand where you're coming from, but I feel like your post is a bit misleading. The exos were never human. The exo body was created "for a war long forgotten". It wasn't until afterwards that (and I'm assuming a small but here) human minds were implemented into the exo bodies. Also, while you are more than likely correct, there is no real indication that the name exos were implemented with make brains as we do not know the process by which the exos were infused with light.

Read caydes journal again. And other exo cards. They talk about the ice. It would appear they had to sacrifice their human body (frozen to death maybe?) to free their conscience for the transfer. So they did need to exist as a human first.

Mate they were human before they became Exos. They just transferred their minds so to speak into the Exo frame. There is proof of this in the grimore.

Originally exos were self aware war machines. Many of the City's Exo citizens live and work alongside their organic brethren. But others fight again, re-forged in the Light of the Traveler to serve as Guardians This is also started in a grimiore. Just like not all awoken are guardians, not all exos are guardians. They weren't originally created to be guardians. Considering they were created for "a long forgotten war" I personally would assume they were created during the golden age at some point before the traveler created guardians.

Sorry mate my bad didn't read all the comments. Yeah I wonder what that long forgotten war was. Would shed a lot of light on the reasons they were made and why Rasputin was involved in their creation.
