Sunsinger Feedback (please acknowledge cozmo)

Its hard not to add more to it since this happens so often[/url] I'm trying to get my voice heard over some Sunsinger feedback, borderline spamming the forums. There is only one way to run Sunsinger right now. I've changed my emote from praise the light to sorrow, and won't change it back until something changes. [b][u]Song of flame[/u][/b] [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/211127468](thread)[/url] -[u]Needs[/u] a visual AOE rune so my team can know that i'm using it. -It REALLY needs to let my team know that i'm there for them and that i'm not about to go running around spamming grenades unless they are with me. -Perhaps they don't want to steal my orb making kills? (Ally kills while under the influence of SOF could grant orbs?) -Right now i CANNOT get them to notice and utilize this buff. I end up having to chase teammates around frantically which sucks up the entire duration of the super before we get to someone. [b][u]Solar wind[/u][/b] [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/211376459?sort=0&page=0](thread)[/url] -The ability is broke, it does not do anything noticeable from testing. [u]-Suggestion #1:[/u] A short term minor shield for 2 teammates in the immediate area? Exactly like the Nightstalker's invisibility buff. (support) [u]Suggestion #2:[/u] A ranged cone of melee damage tier burn? I would feel more like a warlock. (offensive) [u]Suggestion #3:[/u] Basically Force push (or taken phalanx), say a guy is charging at you with a shotgun, then you shove him several meters away. Uses up charge no matter if it hits or not. (utility) [b][u]Viking Funeral pve Debuff[/u][/b] [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/210388024](thread)[/url] -3(or 2.5?) seconds for 5% damage (stacks 3 times but doesn;t reset the timer). Just try actually making use out of this perk. [u]-Suggestion:[/u] 10% for 10 seconds that stacks 2 or 3 times? (something that makes me want to use it over Radiant will) -It takes way too much perk and exotic investment to try to make use out of this perk. [b][u]-Solar grenades[/u][/b] -Opponents are not scared of these grenades, which is important because they seem to be the area of denial type. -Also the only way to use these is if you have sunbreakers, The duration is extremely short. -Its not even possible to keep a player off a capture point with this, the radius is too small. -A sunsinger should have good ranged grenades for area control, they are warlocks. [u]-Suggestion #1:[/u] Solar grenades blind/disorient targets so they do not want to enter them once thrown. [u]-Suggestion #2:[/u] Increase the size or damage of Solar grenades [b][u]Firebolt grenades[/u][/b] -Put simply, you almost have to throw the grenade at the targets face for this to hit them. -This used to be the grenade to use for your super since it actually killed people and could push them -VF was reworked, so this grenade could return to how it was prior. -It's to the point to where i use solar grenade in PvE because at least they look pretty. [b][u]Heart of the Praxic Fire[/u][/b] [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/210751177](thread)[/url] -Reduced cooldown ability actually only grants one extra grenade during a spamming super from my testing (with or without DIS), I'd really want it to scream "that guys a team player" -You don't need to buff it, just change the perk to something more useful (and hopefully SS support oriented) -The bonus agilty is nice(keep it!), but that shouldn't be the main feature. [u]-Suggestion #1:[/u] Increases the Song of Flame AOE and grants alies a shield [u]-Suggestion #2:[/u] Kills while in radiance extend the duration (noticably) [b]Random stuff:[/b] -Flame shield will use up the charge even if it doesn't apply. Also it does not seem to protect me from a melee, just an FYI if you still think this is a instant melee win ability. -I just don't really find flame shield worth it anymore, since you cannot depend on it when you actually need it. -I feel like bungie is telling me that i can only use fusion grenades/flameshield/Radiant skin. -If I have to switch up my exotics and skill tree perks every-time before i use my super, something is wrong. -Its extremely easy to get shut down, everyone challenges sunsingers at once since they are an easy kill. [b]Using radiance is pure suffering[/b]. [b]TLDR:[/b] Song of flame needs a visual AOE rune, HotPF needs an exotic perk, Solar wind doesn't really do anything, solar grenades need to actually deter people, Viking funeral is extremely awkward to make use of and isn't effective.

  • Sunsinger in its current state is still one of the best Subclasses in the game. I'll star by saying that Firebolts got a nerf because they had longer range and arm time than Arcbolts. They were decreased to match their sister Nade and to ensure they couldn't be exploited by throwing them randomly to find where the enemy is. Even with the nerf, they are still very effect and easy to use grenades. Solar Grenades are fine. They are meant for keeping enemies away. Both Vortex and Solar Grenades do just enough damage to ensure enemies cannot run through them and expect to not get killed. They aren't meant to get kills themselves. They are meant to weaken the enemy to he point where they can be easily killed on the other side. Solar Wind does push enemies back and they do it quite forcibly. I have seen people be pushed into walls and die on impact. If they aren't pushed back, they don't have a melee charge. Song of Flame in its current state is fantastic. It does need to be more obvious to teammate's though. I'd say make the teammate's screens glow orange slightly to show they have Song of Flame active or have a slightly different sound and animation when entering the super. Viking Funeral is perfect right now. Any buff to it would make the perk OP again. Right now, Viking Fusion Nades does more damage than the Black Spindle and can be thrown faster. HotPF doesn't need much really. If anything, change its exotic Perk to extend Super time instead of faster charges.
