Yes it is - so is 10% of a trillion, but neither of those numbers have anything to do with the number of Destiny players on legacy consoles, or even legacy consoles still being actively used online.

Neither does the ten percent of people that bungie gathered out of thin air to provide a point to make up a reason to do what they do.

10% is a small fraction of the Destiny playerbase full stop. The actual size of the total Destiny playerbase is irrelevant. It has become inefficent for them to be wasting resources to redevelop all their content for old consoles when that money could be far better used to serve the vast majority of the playerbase.

Maybe they should have just made the game knowing they were having all these consoles run it. That would have solved alot of problems. Although not to this same extent, people have been doing all kinds of things to games over the years , things that destiny could have taken into account . Maybe they could have not changed everything at the last moment.. There are alot of maybes with this type of conversation

They DID develop the game knowing it would be on 4 consoles. And for 2 full years they released content and supported all 4 of those consoles. There's nothing further to say. Destiny was never marketed in a single sentence by any dev as a complete journey with all possible DLCs guaranteed forever on legacy consoles. They've simply made a perfectly reasonable business decision.
