Why is this gun still so awful after all this time?!
Seriously, please FIX the ammo problem in PvE.
Allow me to suggest:
Changing the perk so that every shot is landed while the "The Master" buff is active is critical damage. Also the buff should NOT be stack-able, but refreshed after each precision hit.
Critical damage shots shouldn't change the number of shots needed to kill Guardians in PvP, but it should help the gun kill much more effectively in PvE by reducing the amount of ammo needed per enemy.
Frankly, I think this small tweak will address the ammo related problems with this gun, and at the same time make the gun viable in PvE, without really changing anything about it in PvP. With this change the "The Master" perk will have to be used masterfully in PvE to be maintained, and the reward for doing so would truly make the gun a serious contender in PvE. Probably even in Raid fights.

I don't use it at all but would in pve if I could choose to equip it in the special slot. As a mater of fact I would love to use it then. I think it and universal remote should be equipped in primary OR secondary.
-
NLB was made specifically for pvp...they even said that, so yeah it's gonna sucks in pve it's not even a logical choice for any situation in pve
-
PVP weapon.....nothing to fix.
-
The primary issue (pun intended) is the low ammo pool. A maximum of 12 shots just isn't enough, especially when it's a lower impact. I'd like to see the reserve get bumped up to 12 (total of 18) rounds. Getting precision kills while The Master is active should return a round directly to the mag.

I think they need to give of 40+ shots or have it increase your special weapon ammo dramatically while in pve content
-
Or we could just burn all sniper rifles and never look back
-
What are you talking about? It's great at exhausting all your primary ammo for the heavy ammo glitch during the Crota fight.

Necrobump!

Edited by TheShadow: 7/20/2016 12:03:56 AMBungie needs to get off their ass and stop making weapons that just work for PVP. Make weapons that work across the entire board.... Still think it was BS they allowed every weapon from y1 work in PvP but not PvE. Caping them at 170.
-
Why would anyone use it in PvE is the question
-
Touch of malic isn't meant for pvp and is good in pve, not every gun needs to be great in pve and pvp
-
Not all guns are meant to be viable in pvp and pve
-
currently the gun is really good in pvp if they were to buff it in the way that u want it to be buffed every kill would be considered a crit kill and refresh the perk and give players non stop kills in pvp which=bad
-
Because all bungie does is nerf.
