The mines "apparently" weren't suppose to stick to people. Why bungie took so long to fix I have no idea. As for their nerf I'm on the fence, should they kill? Maybe, but few grenades OHK. From people I play with who main hunter they're fine with the changes. So it's more of a case of people just not liking being nerfed, no one likes a nerf.

I can go both ways on whether they stick or not but the damage nerf was uncalled for. Although they could OHK they were the only gunslinger grenade that could. I still don't know if the swarm grenade can, I haven't seen anyone stupid enough to run into one. Every subclass has one grenade capable of killing with grenade damage alone. Most of these are basic sticky grenades. Lightning and tripmine were special as they were more like traps and lingered. The difference was that a tripmine had a smaller AoE and only blew up once, but it did enough damage to kill. The lightning grenade had a way bigger AoE but did less damage, and blew up multiple times. They were balanced against each other and used as counters to each other, rightfully so. When bungie nerfed tripmines i destroyed the balance they were hanging in. Like a figurative yin yang. When one disappears or is not equal to the other, the other takes over. Now lightning grenade use has exploded.

It used to one shot most enemies. Not only one shots low armor enemies.
