I main hunter and people all over the forums are complaining how op strikers are. I find this ironic because strikers are relatively the same since launch. Guardians (especially my fellow hunters) are bitching about how op shoulder charge and FoH, only because they have saltyness left over from the last nerf. So on behalf of all hunters; I apologize if we bitch more often than usual. And we can't help it that something in our brain called the frontal bitch lobe is working over time.
Again I apologize,
A SLIGHTLY bitchy hunter

I personally don't think it's op, but the reason most people say it is op is because they can have height armor/recover, and low agility while still being the fastest class in the game. A good solution to this could be to buff blink to what it was in year one.
-
The thing is, now that all the other day 1 things have been nerfed (Viking Funeral, Throwing Knifes, Blink, Tripmines) now the striker seems OP. Todays crucible, having a strong grenade like lightning grenades, and shoulder charge being a OHK, make those two things next on the chopping block.
-
Everything else was nerfed, so that leads people to believe that Titans are Op. The problem is that if people keep complaining, every class will soon be engaging on Pillow Fights.
-
They're all sheep, licking salt blocks, thats why.
-
That's everyone's argument? "It's been the same since launch" NEWS FLASH Firebolts and viking funeral were around and untouched since launch.. but those became OP.. so where's your logic?
-
Hunters aren't bitching if it's correct. They might not have buffed striker, but everything else was nerfed to make striker look OP. The problem is not the striker though, the problem is with bungie not knowing how to bring everything to line. Shoulder charge is a one-hit kill with no cool down, meanwhile shadestep and blink which cause no damage were nerfed. It won't be long before its nerfed though, instead of bringing other subclasses up to line, they will bring striker down to line. And again elongating time to kill, which will make these long boring matches even longer.
-
Although it's been relatively the same, everything else has been receiving nerfs which makes it better by comparison. Not saying it's OP myself, just usually how thing's become "op" in destiny
-
No one has ever liked shouldercharge. Half of us never liked lightning grenades. There a much more Titans now. Do the match.
-
Theyre so easy to avoid when you have solar wind.
-
Edited by Balskarr: 6/23/2016 3:30:01 PMTitans are in the same position as the MIDA. People only consider it OP because everything else has been nerfed.
-
I don't think they're OP or care but I can very easily explain why people do.
highest number = power
Hunter: 10 Warlock: 10 Titan: 10 Recent update Hunter: 7 Warlock: 7 Titan: 10 The Titan hasn't changed but is now most powerful in this explanatory example
-
Striker is very strong, but no subclass is op. The recent update made every subclass almost equally effective depending on your play style.
-
I don't. You are clearly listening to children.
-
Salty hunters want something nerfd.
-
The word you are looking for is spite
-
It's because Titans are least nerfed class in the game. Everyone complained about Warlocks and Hunters to the point Titans are supposedly OP. The real truth is everyone is just so salty and toxic that, after a bad match, they jump on the forums and cry wolf. Then everyone else jumps onto it like a friggin bandwagon which then starts the nerf bombs. Bungie is irresponsible to the point they don't know what it is their doing. All of their balances have been reactive and not proactive, which causes a lot more frustration for the player base when something gets nerfed to oblivion. When Bungie starts to play their own game and make sure everything is all good and the cries for nerf are not from salty scrubs, is the moment this game will get a whole lot better than it is right now.
-
Not op, it's just the last subclass relatively intact.
-
Apology accepted. Thing is, these whining little shits ignore all the buffs that happened. As far as I'm concerned, all the whiners can take their ball and go home. They won't be missed.
-
Because the community needs something else to complain about.
-
It's how this poisonous community works: Kids die to some weapon/skill > gets pissed > complain in the foruns, where it finds other pissed kids > bungie hears and nerf the weapon/skill > complaining kid #1 gets happy, but other kids play nerfed class > kid with nerfed class gets killed by some weapon >... The circle loops forever, until people are using water guns in crucible and you'll only be able to get one bullet for every weapon, one at a time, in PvE. Instead of people calling for a nerf, they should ask for a buff, the game is getting ridiculous.
-
Edited by BarbblerElf: 6/23/2016 3:52:57 PMKeep something at value 7 forever Reduce value of everything over 7 to 6 or lower Now 7 is OP 7 is striker
-
I main a warlock, with a hunter as a secondary. I rarely play Titans because they don't speak to me. And I admit it, I really dislike getting killed by shoulder charge. But I think most of my anger comes from my own inability to stop it from happening, such as being oblivious and letting them get too close, or seeing it and not being able to shoot them in time. I'm mostly angry at myself when it happens. And I think that happens to most people. They're mainly angry at themselves, but since it can't ever possibly be because they're bad, they blame what killed them. So all I have to say to them is "git gud scrubs". Oh, and before you go looking at my k/d, yes, it sucks. I suck. But I still can live with shoulder charge the way it is. In fact, they should fix hit detection. Learn to deal with it. Stop being crybabies.
-
Because when you nerf things that are good, things that may not have been as good are now better. Not saying striker is Op though
-
the only thing i've really noticed in this last update is the crazy ridiculous range on the Fist of Panic..... you can jump away, be 50 feet in the air and 20 feet horizontally away from the impact point and it still gets you.
-
My only issue with Shoulder Charge is if you kill a Titan mid-animation, the SC still connects and kills you. Other than that, SC and FoH are fine where they're at.
-
Because other classes got taken down a notch or 2. Striker wasn't touched so it now stands out as the "new meta." Stupid Bungie.
