I main hunter and people all over the forums are complaining how op strikers are. I find this ironic because strikers are relatively the same since launch. Guardians (especially my fellow hunters) are bitching about how op shoulder charge and FoH, only because they have saltyness left over from the last nerf. So on behalf of all hunters; I apologize if we bitch more often than usual. And we can't help it that something in our brain called the frontal bitch lobe is working over time.
Again I apologize,
A SLIGHTLY bitchy hunter
-
Higher TTKs make it harder to avoid noob charge.
-
All the other things people bitched over got nerfed and since we made it under the nerf radar in the first round.
-
The only thing I hate about FoH is the vertical hit box, in my opinion it's too high. But then again I'm not a game expert.
-
Tbh it's not OP, it's had a slight buff since the sun breaker got its big nerf, but after that it was pretty much the same. Now that people are saying it's too OP. The only reason why people are saying that it's OP is because of shoulder charge. Nerf that, you will become overwhelmed by shields from strikers coming to you with shotguns...
-
Right?!! Striker class doesn't need a nerf, instead the children who's mommy bought the game therefore think they should win should BUFF YOUR SKILLZ instead! Just saying.
-
I think most Titan mains slowly switched classes after the Sunbreaker nerf. There's not a lot to choose from you see. If we had 3 offensive subclasses to choose from, Strikers wouldn't be over used.
-
I remember when striker was considered underpowered, what happened to this community?? Im not great at pvp but if i get wrecked i just consider myself outplayed and try harder next time. The nerf herders wont be happy until all subclasses are the same. Just because people get killed by a skill they dont have access to does not mean its op. Shoulder charge is high risk/high reward. The only time a shoulder charge cannot be countered is if you are hard scoping (you deserve it) or the very few occasions you round a corner and BAM! In which case you have more than likely been tactically outplayed. I think that class balance is as close as its ever been. Did hunters get hit too hard? For me personally no (apart from tripmine damage), they just require a little rethink to play with.
-
Titans cried for nerfs all over year one so Bungie -blam!-ed the other two classes and now they seem out of balance due to the lack of Titan nerfs (other than Sunbreaker) and the constant nerfs to the other two.
-
There is only actually one reason sc should be nerfed: Balance. Well, duh. But these main 2 melee abilities were actually decently balanced; SC and throwing knife. Bungie ruined how Knives work (tried and tested, completely different) so SC is probably next. Nothing to do with how good it is in game, its been tried and tested by many Warlock and Hunter mains who say its powerful but unbroken, but same as the Knife. The 2 are very similar abilities in terms of power, so Knives will drag SC down.
-
Just look at the chart they just released. Now that nightstalkers and gunslingers don't have a clear advantage. They're calling the striker to the chopping block next. This community is pathetic.
-
"If something effectively kills me it needs nerfed". Nerf baby logic!
-
Because literally everything else is a pile of shit
-
I think the answer is butthurt, and problems with reading comprehension, because the update was only three nerfs and a lot of buffs

Edited by MrSwiftMind: 6/23/2016 7:32:48 PMAs I Titan main I can assure you that strikers are anything but op lol. I think it's ok. I mean you have lighting grenade but you deserve to die if you don't see that. It doesn't one shot unless your hurt but otherwise takes 2 pulse or 1 and a shot or 2. Fist of Havoc is meh. Then there is shoulder charge. Not the around the corner one but the "hey I'm running right at you one" yeah you deserve to die again for not killing that lummox (me sometimes lol) in all the time it took him to reach you.
-
Hahaha, I absolutely love your honesty. Probably the most honest post on the forums. You are forgiven sir, we Titans still have scars from our Hammer Nerf... you will all learn to adapt. Oh and BTW, Shadowshot and that pesky smoke is a bigger pain than ever now for all of us, so it wasnt all bad for you.
-
No they think that shoulder charge is OP cause they are always in their sniper scope and don't pay attention to their radar. That and the striker seems stronger compared to the other subclasses because they have been nerfed to the ground.
-
Strikers are not OP IMO, but you kind of answer your own question. They have remain untouched since the beginning while all the others have been nerfed to some extend (except stormcaller). So at the moment, is the go to class for the most part as it has it all, speed, great grenades, great mobility and decent super. But I wouldnt worry much, it will be nerfed in a month or so when bungie look at their stats and realize that striker is the main choice now, with likely storm callers. i guess they will stop when people stop playing crucible full stop. Then there will be no more no nerf. It really annoys me when bungie is the one telling me what to use or not to use instead of me making my own decision. But hey, they have been doing this since day one havent day? If we use a weapon too much, in a few weeks it will be nerfed, same with a subclass. Now dont get me wrong, I know what they are trying to do, they want to force us to use all weapons and all subclasses so that when they look at their stats they can see that everyone is using right about the same guns and subclasses. Which will never happen, until or unless they make all weapons and subclasses bad, to a point where it wont matter which weapon we chose, they will all be bad... therefore nerfs will keep coming, until they make the game boring and a place to grow frustration (are we there yet?) instead of a place to have fun and have good craic... without getting to worked up about things.
-
I think cause people are losing there shit they want everyone else to be sad also
-
People should be happy if they get "panic super'd" by a Titan's Fist of Havoc. Its like a Golden Gun user wasting shots on a Titans Bubble, or a Warlock missing a Nova Bomb - waste of a Super that only benefits your team.
-
Because it's just the next thing to bitch about. As soon as all the whiners get what they want nerfed they move on to the next thing they feel is unfair. It's just a cyclical chain of events. It literally goes hunter, Titan, warlock. They weaken each one in turn judged by what the community believes it should be.

Edited by Akron: 6/23/2016 7:15:57 PMJust like everything else in this game, you have one thing considered op and one thing considered ok. Bungie nerfs (often too much) the op thing, and now you are left with the acceptable thing being the best option, because it isn't suffering from being nerfed. Eventually, whiny people start to cry about that, and it also ends up getting nerfed. Vicious cycle. Bungie should be embarrassed we are approaching year -blam!-ing 3 and over half of the weapon archetypes are useless in crucible, the lag (that they blame players for) is still persistent as ever, and the experience is extremely stale due to them being unable to balance the game without throwing nerfs at everything. You would think the game was indie at this point, but at least indie devs seem to care about the quality of their product. Everything about this game has always felt lazy and half assed (except for vog/kf.).
-
I find this ironic because strikers are relatively the same since launch.
That's the problem. Whereas everything else has been nerfed to the ground, of course those than have been relatively the same since launch is OP because everything is severely UNDERPOWERED lol.
-
because people have to cry about something on this site, hoping people agree with them so they feel special for a fleeting moment in their lives.
-
It's not rocket science. Everyone's bitching because everything else has been nerfed. Might as well just nerf striker so something else can move into the crosshairs of the bitchfest.
-
Same reason everyone thought midas was op it was untouched from year one but as soon as everyone started using it boom it's op
-
The stats back up your idea, see stats in Bungies news update Hunters are dominant, needed a hard nerf, got hard nerf
