Stats do not matter in most games. Even more so in a game like Destiny!
Just some supporting points in the text here for my video:
Ways to affect your stats
- Used to/didn't used to pubstomp in stacked 6 constantly
- played solo/played only in a team
- play aggressively/don't play aggressively
- play for the win (objective)/just play for kills
- played from beta/joined late
- take breaks/play other games that require transition periods upon return (eg: when everyone went to division for 2 weeks)
- gamemode you play
- carries/trials help
- farming first few games on trials card
- passage coin runs
- doing stupid challenges (NLB when it was bad)
- doing community/follower challenges
- weapon reviews/experimenting/grimoire
- internet quality
- play time
I could go on
the three massive Destiny specific ones
- SWEATS/COMPS
- ACCOUNT SHARING
- DELETING CHARACTARS!
All of these factors. And people still think that stats mean anything: please watch the video and combine it with points raised here. Disagreeing is fine, just do it once you've taken in all the info I give you!

Saying stats mean nothing is very ignorant. Why is it that teams with higher elos tend to beat teams with lower elos? Why is it that streamers with high k.d.s tend to beat non streamers with average k.d.s? Stop ignoring the facts. K.d. and Elo are relevant numbers that do matter. It isn't a guarantee that a team with higher stats will win but it is a strong indicator they will. Here's a real world example: Tom Brady has a higher overall passer rating than Jay Cutler- he also has more championship rings. If K.D. didn't matter it wouldn't be quantified and talked about as much as it is.
