Now before I hear 100 replies about how salty I am that I lost- yeah. I am salty. Asylum may have been the worst map to be trials (to my knowledge memento has yet to be a trials map) for a couple reasons.
1- it is very narrow. This leads to little to no playing diversity. You have sniping down the lanes and maybe a shotgun or fusion user in the middle. It also leads to a lot of grenade plays (yeah I'm looking at you firebolt) because everyone is so jammed together. And I'm guilty of this as well I threw grenades like crazy and got much better results then I did on any other map.
2- one side is better then the other. I cannot remember whether it's Alpha or Bravo but one side is just statistically better then the other. Don't believe me? One side has another path way open, while the other side only has one and yes you can snipe effectively on this other path/door while the other team is stuck in their one door way. The heavy on the same side is also underneath what I consider the main fighting area. It's very concealed and easy to defend no matter what your secondary. The other heavy however is out and the open, just waiting to get sniped from above, or both it's doorways.
Well that's all I have to say about Asylum. I'm sure a lot of you love this map, and will tell me about how you always go flawless on it. Good for you. However the way I look at it this map is unbalanced and should be removed from Trials rotation as it is the one competitive multiplayer part of destiny, aside from Iron Banner (if you can call that competitive)
Thank you for your time.
