I love footsteps. I have, like, an unnatural love for the sound of footsteps.

Footsteps in video games tend to be pretty unique. I remember watching the vidoc for Star Wars Republic Commando, and the sound director created the footsteps for the Geonosian warriors by simply cutting a watermelon in half and simulating footsteps in time with the animation.
