I'm assuming someone already brought up Shinnok, so I don't think I need to explain him, and as for Balder... Balder was the Norse God of Light. He had a dream in which he would be killed and overthrown as God of Light (As in Norse myth, only gods could kill gods.) So his mother made every object in the world swear to not harm him. All agreed, except mistletoe. Now Balder and his Brothers new favourite pastime was to throw things at balder and watch as they harmlessly bounced off. So, Loki, being the douche he is, forged a spear of mistletoe, and gave it to balders brother. He watched in horror as the spear pierced balders heart, killing him. So he was sent to the Underworld. Hel agreed to free him if everyone, living and dead, cried in sorrow. Everyone did, except an old lady. That old lady turned out to be Loki in disguise. So The God of Light died.
