IT'S A "DON'T NEED TO PAY MORE" DLC, STOP COMPLAINING ONCE..
Guys guys... About the news.. Be at least once happy...
It's a free DLC right, people working on that content are not making any money for the company. Yes they will reuse some stuff we had before, and that's totally fair. How can you make new content to make people happy and still don't waste too much money on it => reuse old stuff to make some new, that's a fair compromise ?
They have a team working hard on the next big expansion later this year and another team even bigger working on Destiny 2 for next year. It's not like if lazy developers were taking drugs with some Russian chicks around a swimming pool at the top of Bungie's building.
Edit: I saw a few comments about the DLC being part of TTK. So Instead of Free DLC, let's say then "you don't need to pay more for it" DLC. But I guess it's the same issue for any "Free DLC" (the division, the witcher...), it's never really free if you had to pay for a game at first. *Okay*
Edit2: Okay they get money from the emotes that many people bought. But if the money is an issue for you I guess you didn't buy any emotes in the first place.

Edit4: it is sad that I just wanted people to stop complaining and to just be happy once but they found a way to focus on FREE and DLC on my post and that's all... I guess I should just give up on them... :/

Hahaha reusing old stuff is NOT making new stuff, it's updating old stuff. Also not free for those who bought silver (a purchase I regret to this day and still have a ton left I won't ever use at this rate).

I was already happy with the update news, then they released that VoG and CE were not coming up, I lost a fair bit of hype. But you. You returned that hype to me. They're bringing back the stuff we wanted, one step at a time. PoE then CE then VoG. I hope that you continue to make posts. You just got a like, follower and a new friend. Congratulations. In the bungie community the word Update usually implies no additional restrictions like having to pay money. Free= unencumbered, unimpeded, from future play as long as you are current. Context is everything The denotation of 'free' and our economic connotation of what 'free' means are far apart. Now the words downloadable content do not draw ideas of financial transactions to most consumers. But from an industry stand point it does. We will probably pay for whatever drops later this year. As this is just an update and the further release is expected to be TTK size. Remember a person can be smart, but people are ignorant

1 ReplyDestiny is a game created to pool in mass amounts of money with minimal effort or money spent during the process. Sure that's the definition of all business practice but when the company manipulates, lies and tricks the customer base is when it turns into bad business ethic. We as gamers have immense passion for the games we play and use them as more than just something to do. We play to enjoy, relax, escape or connect with family and friends. Unfortunately Bungie's original motto wasn't about creating a game they love because the people in charge simply have one goal. Money. It's shown because Investors went with a company that has NEVER created an MMO game before. If the title Destiny doesn't meet the expectations of the yearly earnings goal there won't be Destiny 3. Clearly this practice is highly frowned upon in the gaming community hence the massive backlash from Destiny's player base. If you support the way we are treated or have yet to realize the reality of the situation then go ahead and pay for the next DLC that we already paid for in silver. It's just a matter of time before the last few remaining players see this and move onto better games which I will not mention.

Poe refresh (with taken final boss). 4. 6 exotic weapons 5. 6 exotic armour pieces [b]This has taken 7 months to deliver[/b] and the community will burn through this in under a month. This rate of pve content delivery is too low to sustain the game - at this rate Destiny will die. There are a solid 500,000 daily logins to pvp (cf guardian.gg). This number population is way to small to sustain Destiny. You need a large pve population to make up the numbers but at the low rate of content delivery pve numbers are dwindling Low pve numbers is why Activision will not publish daily pve participation figures (cf WoW). I would rather pay for content that enables Bungie to hire the numbers of people necessary to develop content that lasts 2-3 months with lots of replayability. I want Destiny to thrive and prosper - Bungies pve content delivery rate simply does not work. PS : on the up side I'm expecting a small but interesting advance in story. My sense is this will centre on teaming up with the Queens Bro to find his sister. Half expecting the pre 2014 E3 "Prince your Guardian" cut scene be dusted off and inserted - which is cool by me :)

1 ReplyTechnically it's a patch, it just comes with a ship load of things in it. No one ever complained about patches before this, but hey people complain about everything. You needed the taken King for srl and Crimson doubles, but people didn't complain then.
