So I know that a bunch of you guys want to have the ability to show your clan's name while playing Destiny aka have the clan tag. I have been thinking it over and realized what I had to do to even possibly get Bungie's attention to something countless of clans in Destiny have been wanting for a long while now. It's a problem that not only plagues my clan but all clans in Destiny. See, all Destiny clans (both Xbox and PlayStation console versions) have the ability to have unlimited members in a clan. Where the problems start is when out of all those members, only 100 of those members are allowed to display the clan name or clan tag in the game. Bungie hasn't changed that since the release of the game. One idea one of my clan's admin had was to create sub-clans to allow 100 members to display the clan name. But so many problems arise from that, like a can of worms. First off, we have nearly 2000 members now. That means that we would have to split our clan into 20 sub-clans! And our clan is only continuing to grow so it might have to have even more sub-clans than that. To organize all the sub-clans from an admins perspective would be insane. Also there would be a higher chance that we would start to see divisions within our clan. For example, "Clan 1 kicks clan 2's ass all day!" Etc etc. The last thing we want to see is the clan start to split off and go it's separate ways because of in-fighting or poor communication. So then we came up with another idea instead. Bungie says they listen to the community, and they have proven time and time again that they indeed do. It takes awhile for them to implement some of those things the community asks for but they eventually get to it. What we are came up with is basically a petition to deliver to Bungie. See we thought of making a post asking Bungie to increase the amount of clan tags available to a clan and then have everyone comment/sign the post and maybe bungie will take notice of it.
