Honest question - how many members do you actually need? How can you ensure all your new members are able to get into a raid/event if you're only doing 50 'official' ones a week (250 player ceiling if we assume in best case scenario one admin per raid and an individual member signs up for one event only)? It looks like you haven't even got capacity to support your current 850 members...maybe if you limit members to one raid per month?

I've been reading quite a bit on the forums the past couple of days, mostly from people trying to defend the clan and its founder but recent actions by that same founder have incensed me to add my opinions. First some background - I was an extremely active member of the clan, joining in the relatively early days in January 2015 when it was still a relatively small close knit community. I myself donated funds to the "bank" and for the upkeep of the website because I felt like it was a community that I could be part of for a long time and that I could potentially get something from it. I eventually became an Admin for the community and started to put much more effort into the group, even defending it vehemently on these same forums whenever anyone launched an attack at it. How blinkered I was. I started to question the motives of the founder and I don't think I was the only one, particularly the need for a "bank" and the constant recruitment. What exactly was the money going to be used for? Tournament prizes were offered but it was often fed back that these were never received, even months after the end of the event. When I left I knew of members that were still waiting several months for prizes and that were being told it would have to be next month despite the supposed balance on the "bank" being hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Some will defend the need for donations as being required for the maintenance and upkeep of the site being provided by iClans. The current supposed balance on the "bank" would be enough to keep the site active for longer than the game franchise is actually planned to run. Not only that there is a completely different area on the website that is looking for donations intended for the upkeep of the website. What is the money in the "bank" needed for and where is it going? Why not cap the target? No, the target keeps rising whenever the donations get close to the previous target. Why? The only answer you would ever get would be marketing and promotional exercises or prize funds. But the prizes never arrived and promotion of the clan is handled through recruitment competitions for .....prizes to be paid for by the "bank". On top of that the clan was full of talented individuals who were donating their time and skills for free to do such things as graphic design, create signatures and avatars and add tracking and leader-board capabilities to the site. Others would have you believe that the funds are needed to pay for the merchandise available on the website. Again utter nonsense. The merchandise is available through a 3rd party, teespring.com, where the items are not printed or shipped until multiple orders have been received and essentially paid for. The site holds no stock and therefore there is no outlay from the "bank" required to have any stock available for orders. Serious questions need to be asked on why donations are needed at all and what is the need for a “bank”. All the members that have donated should at least expect to see some tangible return for their investment at the very least receipts for any expenditure by the founder should be produced to justify his collecting, to date, in excess of $5000 from his members. But don't dream about complaining, especially not in a public chat box. You'll almost instantly be shut down and your messages spammed out of the history. Persist and you are likely to be perma-banned. Oh and don't complain directly to the founder if you want an answer, you're beneath him and he wouldn't deign to reply, there's a whole dictatorial hierarchy that you have to go through first. Things started to escalate when another recruitment drive was being discussed. It was the opinion of the majority of the Admins that the community was already big enough and it was already a struggle to post enough events for the membership base. With the requirements in place it wasn't even possible to post enough events for each member to be involved in one raid a week, let alone one a fortnight if they were lucky. Those same Admins objected to further recruitment but despite them essentially the management of the clan they were over-ruled and the recruitment went ahead. Seemingly these recruitment competitions have become a monthly exercise resulting in the Bungie forums becoming effectively spammed by one group and others not being able to get a look in. Add to the above rumours of homophobic and anti-gay comments from the founder in chat parties and the personal ridicule of members in live, public feeds and it started to become apparent that everything was not rosy and that founder was not the visionary that some of us thought he might have been. Admins started stepping down, not because they weren’t committed to the community but because expectations were too high and they were starting to feel as if they were being treated like employees rather than community leaders and they no longer felt they were able to provide the long standing membership base with the service they felt those members deserved or had become accustomed to. Furthermore many of my fellow Admins that I spoke to were falling out of love for the game because it was starting to feel like a job rather than a hobby. It all came to a head late last year when a large number of long time Admins and members, myself included, decided to step down and announced their departure from the clan. It was all done amicably and there was no discussion or promotion of a new clan in any farewell messages from any of us. In fact most of the departing group agreed that in the event that new communities were started there would be no attempts to recruit those that remained behind or clandestine poaching of members from the clan. That’s if the founder even deigned to speak with you once you had announced your intention to leave and didn’t instantly remove any avenues of communication, he had control of, between you and other clan members. Apparently that agreement was not mutual and I recently found out that the founder himself had injected himself in one of the new communities that sprang up from the mass exodus (The Circle of Brothers, check us out at http://thecircleofbrothers.clansweb.com/tcob-home) and was actually trying to poach members away from our group as well as sneaky attempts in the clan chat to try and promote his clan. This incensed me and is what has driven me to post this here today. I would implore anyone that is looking for a new clan to think twice before joining xAllegiancex. This is one case where quantity is definitely not better than quality. You will become an anonymous face in an ever growing crowd and would actually benefit much more from joining one of the many smaller more coordinated groups out there. If you do join then please consider the above before taking the decision to donate any money to the “bank”, at least before the founder has provided some transparency as to what the funds are actually being used for. You don’t need $9000 to pay for the upkeep of the website nor to fund prizes for a 6 man fire-team that wins a tournament to be awarded PSN store credit of $40 each, grand total $240. @ Bungie moderators please note that I have refrained from naming anyone personally so this cannot be deemed to be a personal attack or harassment. I have merely stated facts, questions and opinions, none of which are defamatory or offensive.

Edited by BOYNEZEE: 3/9/2016 2:57:29 PMThis will be the same clan that has someone infiltrate other clans and private message people to leave for xAx , fact. disgraceful but given the actions of the founder with asking for money when there is enough to cover the life span of the game, is it any surprise that it wasn't him himself. Perhaps you should ask him that. No issue with the good people in the clan just the actions of the founder.

Edited by LOCUTUS911: 3/9/2016 4:20:19 PM"Allegiance is now recruiting"? ... Funny, when was that donation-driven glorified-LFG spamming machine that xAx has become even NOT recruiting? BTW, those threads you mention have a strange habbit of disappearing from the fourm if they hit the front page, fortunately there is no shortage of xAx recruitment threads to share experiences or opinions about about xAx since spamming seems to be ok. At least we don't create false accounts on the xAx webiste and troll the chat or private message members to try to get the to leave, ask your founder about that HennaC
