Due to the delay, there will be less chat. On with the show, sir Dinklebot!
Chapter 2.5
Early in to the battle, Krora knew he would lose. Him versus thousands of vex? Unheard of. No matter how many times he shot the Vex, they wouldn't die. Wait. They wouldn't die. How could that be? The stream of bullets flowing from Vision of Confluence trickled to a stop. They Vex didn't move, in fact, some disappeared. Suddenly a path opened up in the Vex. It would all around the groups ending at a large door. Krora began to walk through the crowd of Vex, on high alert. Any one of these Vex could be real and would only need one bullet to kill him. As he neared the end of the trail, near the huge door, he heard the mechanical voice again. It was a mutter, only tickling the edges of his senses. No a chuckle, a laugh, a cry of bliss. The laughing stopped abruptly. He halted, waiting to see if the voice would return. When it didn't, Krora continued walking towards end of the trail. Krora reached the end of the trail. He began to proceed towards the door when a gaping hole appeared beneath him.
"Ahh!" Krora screamed, partly from shock, part from fear, and part from the expectation of pain. Krora steeled himself for the atom splitting pain and the cruel Vex intruders. What did happen though, surprised him.
"Heh. Did you really believe that escape would be that easy? Did you think that you could leave my realm so quickly?" inquired the machine voice. "Ha, I am not yet done with you, you violent creature. How could you believe that violence is the only answer? Well, I had hoped that I could simply change you. It seems nothing but death itself can do that know. Well actually, death would not be preferable. Oh well. Good luck."
Everything went black again.
Krora awoke on a small, Vex platform. One of the disappearing ones. It began to disappear and Krora jumped into the air looking for another safe landing place. He activated glide and began to look in a slow 360. Halfway around he spotted a Vex Hobgoblin. Charging a shot. At him.
"Oh I'm d-" the shot slammed into Krora, but it didn't kill him. Some how, it launched him backwards into a wall. The wall broke upon Krora's impact and sent him flying into a room. The room was completely black. Krora began to prepare himself for one of the voice's leers. None came. He figured that he was going to fight some Vex. He lit a small void flame in his palm. Krora knew that a fire one would be better, but he didn't have the time to switch sub-classes. He observed the room and saw six Praetorians. They hadn't attacked him yet, but that didn't mean anything. Tentatively, he stepped forward. Suddenly all hell broke loose.
Krora kept the flame in his hand. Although his brain told him to throw it at a Praetorian, he knew that he couldn't go blind. The first Praetorian reached him and it began to bring its huge fist down. Krora blinked to the side and the Praetorian missed, leaving a huge dent in the ground. After further inspection, the Praetorians appeared to have no guns or shields. That couldn't be. Could it? Krora pulled out his sword hilt and shoved the void energy into it. A large void blade sprang out. Dark Drinker. The void in swords, the vortex slayer. Krora waited until his adversaries were almost upon him. In an amazing show of agility, he leaped up over the Praetorians. However, before he reached the ground, a metal hand grabbed him and slammed him towards the ground. Moments before impact, Krora blinked to out of the metal grasp, landing inside a Praetorian. Instead of being crushed by the Praetorian's wiring, Dark Drinker absorbed the inside of the enemy, creating a hollow shell. Nice, my very own suit. wonder what I can do with this bad boy Krora swung out at one of the other Praetorians, smashing in its shell. Krora was charged from behind, and he blinked out of the shell sight before it was broken in two.
"Whew, that wa-" Krora dodged a fist and spun in a circle with Dark Drinker, "close. Robots are so rude these days." The rest of his enemies dead, Krora paced the small room. "Welp, doesn't look like I'm going anywhere soon." Krora sat down and began to meditate. He had to be ready for whatever was next.
