Nicely put. My son is autistic, an I have seen a growing trend of teenagers using it as an insult. I'm pretty quick to inform an nicely shut them down.

They wait until you leave, insult you behind your back and carry on exactly the way they were before you approached them.

Good, at least I said my peace. You sound like you're part of the problem.
-
How am I part of the problem? Just because I understand the maturity level of the typical teenager does not make me part of it. Most of them mature as they age and eventually understand how much of an 'asshat' they acted like when they were young.

I read your tone improperly, I apologize. hard to distinguish sometimes with all the jerks here . True most of us older people were major asshats as teenagers, but it has a lot to do with parenting I think.

No apology necessary! :) Not only is it hard to distinguish, I come off pretty harsh sometimes in the forums (gives me entertainment when I'm bored). I can see, if you've read some of my prior posts, that it could've EASILY been misinterpreted. I probably could've phrased my original a bit better/differently. The hope is that some of it might sink in as the maturity level comes up. I have to admit that I was berated by adults on a few occasions in my teen years. I would like to think that as I grew into an actual mature, adult... A little bit of it might have actually sunk in. You might not recognize that by some of my postings on here though, ;)
