Sell my furniture, get a passport (about $150) and take my family name back to where it's from. Trump wants to get rid of immigrants? I may not be an immigrant myself but my family moved here less than a hundred years ago, they served this country, they fought in our wars, and I stand with them. I wouldn't be deported (since I'm not an illegal immigrant or an immigrant at all) but I do not support his views on immigration whatsoever. I may be a white, American citizen but I don't want to be helped by Trump. He does not represent me. I am not above anyone else just because I was born here or because of the color of my skin or the religion I was raised with. I would be ashamed to be an American if he were our leader. I would leave this place and never look back. Hell, I might even leave if Trump isn't elected. This country has never actually been what people want to believe it is.

  • You obviously don't understand his policies. He wants to get rid of illegal immigrants, not all immigrants.

  • I realize this. But I do not want to be represented by someone who has so much hatred towards a group of hard working people. People who came here to better their lives and for the American Dream and to escape whatever they were having to deal with. My family were immigrants, so if he's deporting the people who are doing the jobs that no one wants to do (not even talking about how expensive it'd be to deport them all) then I will gladly leave. No one should be forced to leave their homes, these people have made homes here. He could just as easily take time to allow those illegal immigrants to become citizens without having to deport them and tear their families apart. TL;DR - I don't agree with his views, and with my family being immigrants I don't appreciate the way he's treating people who just want a chance at a better life.

I don't care if they are hard working. Go to any other country and try to just walk in and start working hard. Your ass is tossed out before you can say hello I'm a hard wor-

  • I don't think you know what would happen to this country if all illegal immigrants just suddenly disappeared. We would just collapse. Not to mention the cost and time it would take to send all of those people back to their home countries. Let them stay, let them work, but give them the option to become legal citizens or be deported. They could do something like that, but they don't want to.

  • I know full well what would happen. I live in the central valley of california. I see the illegal immigrants everyday out doing field work. What I also see are Americans sitting in their asses collecting welfare. The welfare system needs to be reworked so you must work while on it. If you can't work, fine but I see whole generations of welfare family's. It's sickening. To curb ilegal imigration would be a three pronged attack. Firstly fine businesses large amounts if they were caught hiring illegal immigrants. If they continue their businesses are seized and auctioned off to the highest bidder. Even the people who hire them at home depots should be punished. The illegals can't get a job, they will deport themselfs. Second if you are caught in the us illegally you can never become a citizen. That would make more apply legally. Third is we need to reform our immigration policies so it isn't so hard to legally immigrate here. I'm all for legal immigration. Having them go through the legal channels means they won't be taken advantage of like they are now. They will have legal rights and recourse. You think all people who are against illegal immigrants are cold hearted bastards who just hate them. Some are. My reasoning for it is out of kindness. They will never go as far as they could unless they are legal citizens, and I want them to succeed.

  • But Trump is one of those people who hate all illegal immigrants. He does not want to help them. If you have never lived on welfare, food stamps and public assistance to survive then you should not have a say in what should be done with it. That's what I was born into and that's how I was raised. Here I am having to ask for public assistance as an adult myself because that's what I was set up for. I'd love to be working full time or in school but that just isn't realistic or possible. The public assistance that we have is bullshit. It does nothing but keep you where you are, it does absolutely nothing to help you move forward. That's why there are "families" of welfare, sorry that those families sicken you but instead of looking down on them they should be given actual help. No just a check every month or food stamps, they should be given jobs and if they don't accept the job or get fired or can't pass a drug test then they don't get welfare! And if they have kids then take them away, God knows id be much better off if I'd grown up in foster care or anywhere besides my parents house. I'm done discussing this.

  • I have been on welfare. And I agree with everything that you said. But simply because some people don't have the right intentions doesn't mean it's the wrong thing to do.
