"I quite agree, it would've been interesting to look into how that contraption was fused to his body." Tesla-18 agrees, with her hands on her hips. "To be honest it was quite horrifying to look at." Her Ghost comments. The two Guardians and their Ghost argued with Shay in the lab while Chiharu and Leon watched from the next room. Chiharu and Leon are in their sparring casuals, wearing the Guardian armor got in the way of their training. Leon turns away from the window and goes back to practicing on a nearby punching bag while his training partner takes a sip from her water bottle. She then puts her water bottle down on the rubber mat beneath her and turns towards Leon. "So," Chiharu begins to say as she begins to wrap her hands, "can we trust this contact of yours with the darkness armor?" "Lekor can be trusted, he may be part of the black market, but he's done work with the Concordat in the past." Leon says, sweat beginning to run down his face from the intense workout. "It's her, we should be worried about." "Agreed, I wish I knew why Shay brought her on board." She states as she begins to practice an intense form of martial arts on the practice dummy. As Chiharu begins Leon takes a quick break, stretching his arms over his head to help him get more air into his lungs. Beads of sweat drips down his face and he wipes his brow before they can get in his eyes. He reaches for his nearby water bottle and gets ready to take a sip when Tesla-18 barges into the room. "You guys ready?!" She asks excitedly. "Ready for what?" Leon asks, taking a sip from his water bottle while Chiharu continues to combat the practice dummy. "We're going to Venus! We get to explore the Ishtar Academy!" Tesla-12 says gleefully as she exits the room. "As you can tell, she's overly excited." Her Ghost comments and then follows behind. Chiharu takes a few more swings at her practice dummy and the grabs a nearby towel and throws it over her shoulder. Leon finishes his water and does the same and the two exit the training room and follow after Tesla. The group stands in front of a large holographic table which is displaying a 3D layout of the Ishtar Academy. Shay enters the room wearing khakis, a white button up shirt, a brown leather jacket, is his token fedora. "Our mission is to find the rumored X/S-5509 device stored within the Ishtar Academy." Shay begins to explain, without acknowledging anyone in the room. "But I thought that device was just a rumor." Edison's ghost says. "Nope, it's real. With the recent rise in Fallen activity in the area the Concordat suspects this device has turned up again." Shay answers. "Sir, why are we not attacking the Moon with the rest of the factions?" Leon questions stepping forward towards the holographic image. "Because the Vanguard are idiots. That Moon mission is suicide. Also the X/S-5509 could be crucial to the war against the Darkness." "Excuse me, but what's the X/S-5509?" Abi asks from the back of the room. The entire room seems to almost freeze, as a sudden silence quickly rushes in. The rest of the team turns to look at her. "It's a transmaterializer fused with Vex technology." Tesla-18 answers. "They say Doctor Shim worked on the device herself." Edison-12 continues. "I thought you Vex fanatics knew everything about the Ishtar Collective, that's where you freaks were founded wasn't it?" Leon snarkly replies. "That's enough. We need this device in order to speed up our process of transmatting ourselves and our gear. This hopefully play a huge role in the war to come." Shay sternly commands as he turns off the holographic display. "Either way, we can't let the Fallen have it." Chiharu comments, tightly clenching a fist.
