couldn't agree more. didn't stop me from going flawless, but i was absolutely ashamed of how bad they are at the game. you have to be bad at the game to do it, there are no exceptions. i don't do it. my whole team doesn't do it. the way it needs to be fixed isn't in weapon swapping lock or anything like that, but by dramatically increasing the relevance of overall light level, and the light level of the equipped weapon. if i'm not mistaken, an ice breaker has a max attack of 170. it is technically a level 34 weapon. that is a 6 xp level difference, and whatever the light level difference comes out to. the ice breaker should hit for around 50 a head shot, at best, against a 315 plus guardian. problem solved.
while we're at it, they need to dramatically increase the power equation associated with light levels of guardians and weapons across the board. we already have normal crucible where scrubs can bring year one weapons like thorn and felwinters in, trials and iron banner need to have a much more noticeable power difference. if someone is 318, 319 and fighting against someone that is 305, the much higher light level guardian should be practically unkillable. maybe half dmg?
the other thing that needs to happen is to remove all ammo regeneration in the crucible across the board. it's time for primaries, guys.
