I've never played trials, but I love my MIDA. Is MIDA considered a crutch or cheat? It's a primary, so I'm just wondering why people hate on it so much. Scout rifles have been my favorite weapon type since I discovered them. Sorry to get off topic.

If it's a popular exotic, people will find something to complain about. Truth's tracking... Thorn's burn... Icebreaker's ammo regeneration... I'm not actually sure what the MIDA hate is all about, but let's be real: I get a little salty whenever I'm killed by a MIDA, but that's only because I suck at using it. Lol.

It is a crutch

How so? It's a rifle, in the game, designed by the game designers, that shoots just like any other, only instead of spray and pray, you actually have to aim. You need to be close enough for your opponent to see you, unlike snipers, you're not bursting rounds of three or more, so the user has to be accurate or die, and shotgunners have to close the distance on their target in an all out sprint, to hope to register a kill shot. Explain your "crutch" theory though, I'm just curious, because that term gets loosely thrown around without any sort of backing or explanation.
