Ice Breaker exploit in Trials is for SCRUBS.
DON'T FRONT, NO ONE WAS USING IT IN TRIALS A WEEK AGO NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN IT'S A VIABLE OPTION? NO, IT'S BECAUSE THEY TOOK YOUR PRECIOUS SPECIAL AMMO.

It happened in my first game of Trials this weekend. All 3 had Icebreakers then switched to their 1000 yards later. The game's been changed for a reason, play it the way it's meant to be played now.
Go ahead and disagree. I won't care. You ladyboys always gotta find an exploit to get cheap kills instead of playing the game right. If you NEED sniper ammo that bad to get a kill then there's more wrong with you than just being a coward in a fake fight.

When I saw it I was like "Sneaky little sons of bitches, nice play". so I adapted and fought to counter the new tactic. Had fun won some lost others played the game..

I took the Ice Breaker to the lighthouse lol didn't swap out. Ran at 300 light all the way there.

Knowing bungie they will patch that and say it's a disadvantage and/or cheat just to get sniper ammo before the other team. When and if they will patch it is something we'll have to see

Did u know they get ammo from the start? Bet u didn't so your assuming that they used icebreaker only lol scrub. I discovered this earlier because I use a side arm. And why are you upset that they're using a sniper? I out gun snipers with scout rifles. Mida multi tool is better than any sniper at this point. Learn the game than whine. I hate lil girls, grow up kid!

I do this in Crimson doubles, but in trials it's pointless plus 99% of the time I use icebreaker the FULL time in Crimson doubles, the only time I utilize the glitch is if we're losing, in which case I'll probably switch to a shotgun or 1000 yard + thorn

Bear in mind that in order to do this you have to sacrifice an exotic primary. Then there's being stuck in the menu swapping out (I've tagged a few guys swapping their gear out). The recoil on both the Ice breaker and Invective are horrible. I isually prefer the same loadout I've been using since HOW. A scout and a sidearm. Of course I suck at PVP, but this seems to work best for me. N

Also another exploit you can use it put a side arm on for the first round and switch to sniper, it'll transfer the side arm ammo to your sniper if you hate people who has ice breaker and want to destroy them at their own sniping game

U know there is also sidearms that gets ammo every round when u spawn and u can switch that to sniper between them, also NLB issniper that always gets ammo back, invective getting slowly ammo, ice breaker is not the only one

1 ReplyI wasn't going to reply but I have to say honestly the truth here is simple. Bungie shouldn't have changed anything until they had a chance to think it over properly. Knowing players will out smart the programer and decision makers. That all possibilities should have been considered. Again ToO need to rework the mechanism. Should have standard weapons and armors for all players.

We beat every scrub that tried this in trials. A lot of that DOES have to do with the map Though. This is less problematic here then say, pantheon would be.

3 RepliesIt happened to me too. Costed me my flawless run. 8 wins in, they take out ice breakers round one, get a full mag of sniper ammo and start to snowball because snipers are OP right now. It'll get patched in the spring update.

Edited by Average: 2/14/2016 5:51:37 AMcouldn't agree more. didn't stop me from going flawless, but i was absolutely ashamed of how bad they are at the game. you have to be bad at the game to do it, there are no exceptions. i don't do it. my whole team doesn't do it. the way it needs to be fixed isn't in weapon swapping lock or anything like that, but by dramatically increasing the relevance of overall light level, and the light level of the equipped weapon. if i'm not mistaken, an ice breaker has a max attack of 170. it is technically a level 34 weapon. that is a 6 xp level difference, and whatever the light level difference comes out to. the ice breaker should hit for around 50 a head shot, at best, against a 315 plus guardian. problem solved. while we're at it, they need to dramatically increase the power equation associated with light levels of guardians and weapons across the board. we already have normal crucible where scrubs can bring year one weapons like thorn and felwinters in, trials and iron banner need to have a much more noticeable power difference. if someone is 318, 319 and fighting against someone that is 305, the much higher light level guardian should be practically unkillable. maybe half dmg? the other thing that needs to happen is to remove all ammo regeneration in the crucible across the board. it's time for primaries, guys. signed, someone who snipes better than you, and is also better with his primary

I got called a scrub the other day for using no land beyond and a fusion rifle.... it seems that a scrub is someone who beats someone else with a gun the name caller cant use.
