Ice Breaker exploit in Trials is for SCRUBS.
DON'T FRONT, NO ONE WAS USING IT IN TRIALS A WEEK AGO NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN IT'S A VIABLE OPTION? NO, IT'S BECAUSE THEY TOOK YOUR PRECIOUS SPECIAL AMMO.
If you're doing this you're pathetic.
It happened in my first game of Trials this weekend. All 3 had Icebreakers then switched to their 1000 yards later. The game's been changed for a reason, play it the way it's meant to be played now.
Go ahead and disagree. I won't care. You ladyboys always gotta find an exploit to get cheap kills instead of playing the game right. If you NEED sniper ammo that bad to get a kill then there's more wrong with you than just being a coward in a fake fight.

3 RepliesI can see why people are using this as a strategy, what really bugs me is that it's still a one shot headshot, despite being (apparently) hugely underpowered as a year one weapon in a game mode where light level matters. Surely the levelling should be such that it won't one shot, even as a sniper?

It's part of the game. If you are dragging your feet long enough for them to get that round then you earned exactly what you got. If you see IB dropping in common sense would tell you an aggressive opening round is in your favor. Side note to Bungie this would obviously not be a factor if you scaled trials light level more appropriately. Also this special ammo thing isn't changing much. The opening round plays slightly different.

Edited by Final Requiem: 2/14/2016 8:30:31 PMThis is all I can really say, I don't care if it is intentionally put in the game, it is called a PRIMARY weapon for a reason and not just because of the type. I don't care what anyone says about it, if you can win only by playing so cheaply that it is or is no better than cheating then you shouldn't even be playing the game. It may not be an glitch or exploit, but that doesn't make it better. If my usual match results and stats are anything to go by, I good enough at this game. I just hate how most of my deaths will come from spawn kill, tag team, weapons and/or abilities that can one or two shot a player at full health with a damage resist and/or extra health, or a combination of those. I should have a fair chance to at least take you with me which almost never happens. While there are some exceptions to game types like Trials or FFA, people should learn how not to rely on these things, flaws in the game, or technical flaws to win. A perfect example of this would be my Two to the morgue shotgun. It has great range and a bug I have yet to confirm, it has the 1 random shot damage boost, but the first shot I fire always makes that pinging noise from guns with that perk. If it works the way I have reason to believe then I have a better shotgun than anyone else because of that one flaw and I never go into PVP unless there is something I want which is almost never.

2 RepliesI think it is annoying as hell, and very cheap but still a valid play as it is not a glitch exploit, and therefore supposed to be in the game- unless it is just very bad planning on bungies part (which I would not rule out immediately)
