While your general points are valid you need to remember the majority of taxes come from the middle class. Which also happens to be the working class. Taxing that bracket further will cause severe consequences in unemployment, wages, and other economical standards.
Healthcare and education for all is a great and admirable idea that everyone can get behind. But more details on where those finances are coming from and how need to ironed out.

Here's what Rand Paul would say if we had a third party system and he was able to: --blam!- Israel -In fact, -blam!- every other nation. Time to make it on your own. -Want to have an abortion? Go for it. -Want to have gay marriage? Go for it. -Government, get out of people's lives. -Let's close the massive loop holes the rich are exploiting, but let's make the playing field level and fair. Sadly, he will never be a viable presidential candidate because he has to pander to the far right. I don't like Hilary or Bernie. Especially Bernie. But they are better than the clown train of buffoons that the Republicans parade out in front of us. Trump, Cruz, Bush 3.0, etc. Any of those idiots will cripple the middle class again and tank the economy so their rich friends can get just a little bit richer.

Being a strict constructionist, I agree with almost everything Rand Paul says. Except his foreign policy. However, he has very little support. So, I'm voting for whoever runs against Hillary/Bernie.

I hear you man. I don't trust ANY of them. I'm not a republican or democrat. I don't want to be grouped or lumped into any of those sorry excuses of human beings. We need to remove them. I would trust you, a complete stranger, to run this government over ANY established politician. That's where I'm at. Grab a group of 10 random Americans and put them in a room and they would do better. I know the issues we have as a society. We can make life better. It's possible. But instead of working together they make it democrat vs republican. They focus on dividing. Aren't we the UNITED states?? We need to come together and argue and debate and form a plan that utilizes each beliefs strengths. Businesses do it. This is no different.

The government works well for its clients. Hint: That's not the common people. People hate Congress, but that is the reflection of the people. It has been captured by interests.

I agree to an extent. But it's interesting to me that only individuals with substantial financial backing from "groups" will be candidates to any level of federal government position. With financial backing comes strings. No one in congress represents me. Not even close. They represent there benefactors. You or I would have an extreme slim chance of becoming a candidate for any senate, congress, or presidential role. Even if we had the proper education. Only thing that matters is money. -blam!-ing money

Bernie is trying to change that

If Bernie actually gets [s]elected, then you will see the most marginalized President in the history of this country, maybe enough to eliminate the idea of a figurehead President. Even Jimmy Carter was given more room to do anything by his handlers.

I know he is. But to be honest he scares me. I don't trust any of the candidates but his plans have huge voids in it. And I fear that people will get caught up in the hype and rush in not realizing the consequences. The free college tuition plan? I just finished paying thousands for mine. I and many like me were and still are in debt for years working our ass off to pay our debts. He would completely undermine that because I would now have to be taxed more to pay for everyone else's now? Medicare for all? The quality of Drs who take Medicare is well below average. While I wish that wasn't true people will be people and want more money. So you will end up with mediocre doctors seeing too many patients causing poor quality of care and long waits for care. I want everyone to have equal care and fair taxation. But these plans are not the cure. Human nature is always the enemy with this. Finding a balance will need sacrifices but to the people who have more than enough to sacrifice. Why is it that no one makes a big deal about car insurance? It's required by law to have it. Yet no one complains when they have to shop for one. By forcing insurances to compete for business the premiums come down. Making it more available to more people. While this can be improved I think insurance companies need to be taken to task to form better solutions. I do not want to rely on politicians who are far more corrupt and crooked than any business. Just my thoughts. Please understand that I feel that we need and CAN achieve these goals but more details and options need to be utilized. We need to find that elusive balance.
