Lol.....it's funny how it's been the exact same -blam!-ing gun since day 1 of destiny and has always been seen as just a well rounded weapon. It isn't super strong in 1 area and isn't super weak in 1 area,it's in the middle, it's perks aren't crazy,they just are enough to moderately compliment the weapon stats.....
And now that it's overly popular, because of the change in meta,it's ALL OF A SUDDEN unbalanced.
I honestly wonder if you people even listen to yourselves talk. When this whole "MIDA is OP " shit started I just sat there thinking, "wow,this really shows how whiny and pathetic the destiny community is, they are bitching about the MIDA?! Lol!".
See the problem isn't that it's OP(because its -blam!-ing not,you're all just whiny idiots) the problem, is that the children of this game(yes,children, because about 85% of this game is below the age of 16) do not know the difference between, Over Powered and Popular. Just because you see a fluctuation of a weapon doesn't mean it's over powered,its just popular.
I've yet to see someone form an even half assed argument as to HOW it's OP,you know why? Because they cant, because they know it isnt, because they know the only reason they are bitching about it, is because they keep dying to it, it's because they want to blame the fact that they are a shit player on something other than themselves.
I don't even play Destiny anymore,i never cared for the MIDA for the very reason that it just felt like a jack of all trades scout rifle. It doesn't feel exotic to me and before this nonsense started,it didn't to a lot of other people,they were suggesting all sorts of things to add to it to make it worthy of its rarity.
So, kindly, stop whining like a bunch of God Damn babies about something that you shouldn't be whining about. It isn't a shotgun,it isn't the thorn, it isn't pre nerf fusion rifle, it isn't tlw, it isn't pre nerf vex. Its a well rounded scout rifle with -blam!-ing third eye.
Use your brain, get over it, stop bitching for once.

This. Hardly anyone ever used this gun in year one up until it rose to popularity after TTK and another stage of weapon balancing that let it shine brighter. The weapon balancing right now is Damn near perfect. Even the last word has more than a few ways to be countered. I'm not a great PvP player but I've been playing long enough to notice trends and see through the mindless comments regarding MIDA nerf among other things. Stormcaller does not need a nerf. TLW doesn't need a nerf. Shotguns don't need a range nerf. So on and so forth. If you want to complain about something how about y'all comment on how lackluster fusion rifles are in crucible. Aside from Plan C, there isn't a fusion rifle in existence that is a worthy adversary to shotguns or even a sidearm in the hands of a skilled player. And fusion rifles don't stand a chance between most primaries. How about we focus our constructive criticism on allowing more weapon diversity, instead of how we hate dying by a particular weapons for a few months while they are the "fad". I hate dying to snipers, but I don't go around saying "nerf this" or "nerf that". Like this guy said. Stop crying.

I think I did make a post asking for a fusion buff when TTK came out. Did you see my suggest changes to mida? What's so bad about those? right now mida outperforms mid and close range weapons as a scout which is meant for long range how is that balanced?

I read your post. Twice actually. I still don't see a need for ANY type of change. Like many said....it's not overpowered. It's just popular. I see plenty of other scout rifles with good rolls that can stand and bang with Mida, all the time. It's just a popular weapon presently. I was told just a few months into the game upon original release, that the mida multi tool that I got from Gorgon chest in my first VOG ever, wasn't something that I should use in PVP, by more than just a few people. I happened to like the weapon so I still used it, but I can't tell you how few people EVER used that gun until right around the house of wolves dropping. It wasn't popular AT ALL. whhen I watched the stream of the release of trials of osiris triplewreck was using blink, thorn, something....and there was a guy on his squad using mida tool. I can't tell you how or why, but people cheered more for this guys kills with the mida multi tool louder than for triplewreck with the thorn. Know why? Thorn was getting so much hate for being not just overpowered but overused. Read more patch note history and look at Bungies stats for guns most played with. You'll see a rise and fall of so many weapons. What about Suros regime? Did you complain about that one too? I didn't think so. Did anyone at all see how amazing dreggs promise was in the crucible? No? Because it just wasn't popular. That gun rips. Felwinters had it's glory and hate. Longbow synthesis is so ridiculous bro. What about that? What about the hate that preadyths revenge got for awhile? People called other people scrubs on the forums for weeks because of that sniper. Invective was complained about for so long.....oh my gosh. It's just an ebb and flow of ups and downs as guns rise to popularity and then fade back a place that usually remains mostly constant. Please don't make anymore posts about MIDA. I don't care about which gun is popular I just have an issue when guns perform well outside intended ranges because of secret perks and mida has no drawbacks to its stats. You're not giving up anything when using the mida. dreggs promise? sure it can melt but good luck hitting a strafeing target the travel time on those bullets is dumb. I try every weapon in the crucible actually. Long was good surebut you had to get a good roll on it but snipers are a whole other discussion as well as overused weapons. My post is about how I think mida needs slight tweaking how is that 'silly'?

I read the spoiler thanks for your mostly well thought out reply. is midas stats were to fit the jack of all trades model then itd have a lower mag and/or reduced reload tho. I'd like to hear about how you think my arguements are not valid though because Imo I think those hc rounds that shouldnt be on the gun really make it too good.
