[i]Suddenly the flame grows brighter, and you see a figure of Raze in front of you.[/i]

A rage boils through August's veins and his fist clenches. "You! You--" he catches himself in his anger and tries to slow his breathing and calm down.

[i]It dissipates. And the voice of Eos can be heard.[/i] "August- you cannot save them...but you must save those who cannot fend for themselves".

He nods as he now breaths normally. "I should have saved the child." Feelings of guilt sweep over me, as if the very darkness around me is closing in to consume me as an embodiment of shame.

[i]The candle's blue flame ignites brighter, the other side of the cave begins to shine light- the exit.[/i]
-
I trudge on. The darkness seems to weigh less at the sight of light. I exit the cave and look around.

[i]You hear a yell directly ahead, trees and bushes appear to obstruct your vision however- but the voices seem similar.[/i]

I sprint toward the sound of the voices.

[i]You see the Oni- it holds your parents hostage with his kanabo up in an executioner stance. [/i] [i]The other sided you see the Kitsune- bladed talons over the throats of your fellow classmates from the boarding school.[/i] "....choose", the Kitsune says.

August takes a deep breath. He glances into the eyes of his parents. "I'm sorry, but your already gone. And many lives takes precedent over the few, even my own. It would selfish of me to save you." He teleports, grabs his classmates and teleports them and himself to safety as a time fissure unwinds at the Kinsune's feet.

[i]A powerful wind blows and the spirits dissolve. The students and your parents are gone and the path forward is clear. You see that it is dark, but fire lights the pathway up the hill, your candle glows even brighter.[/i]

I continue walking along the path. Reflecting on the experience from moments before.

[i]You see 3 figures above, their mask on: a woman with violet and armor, a woman with orange and titanium armor, and Helius with his mask on. Apex stands to their right, and alongside him- Eos, in her white Crimson trimmed robes but with bright gold armor. [/i] "August....step forward", she says.

I walk before them, candle in hand. I could feel the radiance, the energy, the forces that surrounded me.

He holds his right arm out to her after rolling up his sleeve.

[i]She molds a strange shape and symbol. And presses the blue flame against your arm.[/i] "When your anger channels- let the fire guide you- let it be your strength". [i]The 3 other armored beings bow to you. With Apex and Eos stepping back and bowing.[/i]

I bow also, "Thank you. May the flame guide me, as long as I live."

[i]The woman in violet and gray armor removes her mask revealing her long natural red hair. The woman in orange and titanium grey armor removed her mask revealing her shoulder length wavy blonde hair.[/i] "Congratulations", Nova says. "Welcome to the SunFire", Aurora says. [i]Helius stands, still with his mask on, waiting for the women to finish.[/i]

[i]They both smile and continue on their way. Helius approaches. His helmet collapses and folds in.[/i] "I can officially call you my brother now", he says with a chuckle. "Helius will be your mentor, alongside him you'll work with other Watchers: Evelyn, Lance, many others", Eos says.

"It's an honor, brother." I smile. "So, what's first?"

"Cool names are optional", Apex says jokingly. "But training will commence whenever you're ready". "We recommend you st-" "Kai" Eos said cutting him off. "You're school may be worried of your absence. I shall accompany you and you can visit freely when you desire to", Helius said. [i]You see Eos and Apex quiet and they seem to be engaged in an intense telepathic conversation.[/i]

He looks back at Helius and nods. "Back to San Diego then?"

"It would seem so", he says placing his hand on your shoulder teleporting back to San Diego

Once there, August faces Helius. "Is something wrong? Eos and Kai seemed... Engaged."
