Because it wasn't a physical object and was in an isolated part of the game x2. first eververes then sparrow racing.
thorn took 8 months probably because they fixing every gun and numerous other things. all of which were physical items and things that had to interact with the environment, player models, PvE and PvP entities, etc.
Use some common sense people.

No the 8 month gap between the thorn buff and nerf saw at least 2 major weapon rebalances, and the only change to the thorn was the green screen effect which only made it worse.
-
Still, as soon as it becomes a physical entity. it will be a while. but even then when I say numerous other things I was more or less referring to the preparations for TTK.

Took them far less time to push out a suros nerf when it was an issue, and they were prepping for their first dlc at the time. Fact is they stopped giving a shit about this game while they poured time into destiny 2, that is until they realised how willing the community was to "throw money at the screen." Now that they have a fancy cash cow, they sunddenly care again.

You're comparing TTK to TDB. I feel like you have a very limited understand of how coding works. TTK was far bigger, than the dark below. FFaaaaaarrr bigger. logistics would say it is going to take more to prep for it.

I feel like you have a limited understanding of size.

OK, so by some weird confusing math you somehow see TTK takes the same amount of time to prep as TDB. even though TDB wasn't worth $20 becasue it had the smallest raid, only updated guns, had like 4 new mission all of which were in already made areas and 3 bosses randomly place on the patrol. Where TTK, well, Do I really have to list it.
