SRL - What The Hell (Share your SRL "Almost snapped the pad" moments)
Post your best SRL WTF and WTH moments.
Was victory ripped from your grasp?
Did 2st cross the line 20 seconds before 2nd place despite being behind the whole race?
Let me set the scene for me own WTF moment
PIcture it, you are three gates from victory, not one obstical in the way, you are in a fierce battle with 2nd place to keep the lead and take the flag.
THREE flags to go, you hit the flag side by side with 2nd place.
TWO flags to go, 2nd place missed the flag and you pull ahead, certain in your victory
Almost at the last flag before the finish line...... no way 2nd can catch you if you hit that flag
2nd place tears past you as if you were going backwards, ignores the last flag and smashed the finish line almost a second ahead
Bug, Glitch, Exploit, Cheat?
Who knows, but bloody annoying!!!

Had the lead by A LOT the fan all of sudden jittered as I was going through and I got stuck! Not destoyed, stuck! Smh

Was in first Until a tiny rock on the floor flipped me out of the flipping venus map!!!! NERF THAT ROCK

The most annoying was getting put up against this team that would line up across the line and stop me from playing for about 5 seconds. Then they would drive off then turn around and run at me the wrong way and make me explode. Meanwhile the leader is finishing the race and I never got away from the start really. I was put with them 3 more -blam!-ing times. I think they were boosting for first place and taking it in turns and because they were bored waiting their turn they thought it would be funny to -blam!- the poor sucker that was put against them. Competitive my are.

7 RepliesThree or 4 times finished first , waited 3-5 seconds then was pushed down to second on the scoreboard. Other times I would be in second, hitting pretty much all my flags and the guy in front of me just continually pulls away for like a 15 second lead. I get dumbfounded on those.

Lost a game because my sparrow broke the speed limit. It went too fast and just blew up

1 ReplyWhen my friend (from Mexico so the connection is questionable) is ahead of me but says he's in 6th place. It sorts itself out after a minute, but still confusing.

On the Venus map, I fell behind to 6th in the first lap. By the middle of lap 2 I worked my way to first and had the lead until I missed the gate right at the end. Another guy passed me and beat me by like .08 of a second!

First place on Venus, I'm about to go to the last gate when my sparrow trips on an invisible rock Second rocks past me hitting me in the process knocking me back in the air I finally come close to landing when I got hit by both 3rd and 4th knocking me back into the air 5th comes rocking past with 6th hot on his tails knocking me forward into a tail spin were I die and then proceed to finish the race dead last I get messages from all of them saying sorry and how funny it was. It's like the blue shelll from Mario entered the game just to kill me, this isn't even a one time incident

Easily in first place at the infinite decent no one on my radar hit the last three gates but doesn't register the second gate and so I slow down. Second place comes flying out of nowhere and passes through my Sparrow as I hit the last boost and he flies into the wall. I've totally got this right, no slamming square in the wall would have caused me to explode but this red bar rando turns it into the secret last boost gate and shoots right past me and wins by .02 seconds ....and that's when I killed him your honor.

Finished first by ten full seconds. Start screwing around, die before the race is over. Have no time recorded, no gates recorded, wind up at the bottom of the screen and got no rewards and lastly it didn't count for my srl book.

Side to side with another racer. I needed 1 more win for S class. But because that Mother-blam!-er has a longer New Sparrow. I lost. I just dropped to the floor.

So you know how sometimes you land on a rock and end up just rolling around helplessly for ~5 sec? Yeah, take 2 of those. Add in one of those times where someone bumps you into a pillar and you explode; and then top that all of with a controller disconnecting from dead batteries. [spoiler]still got second place, but holy crap did I have to work for it.[/spoiler]

First place on Venus, shot into the transporter. I land and apparently my sparrows decides it's made of rubber so it bounces and flips over. I got 5th ;-;

3 RepliesConstantly am leading first the entire map, navigating the small gates. Finish first, wait 10 seconds. Everyone else places with better times knocking me to 5th. Errytime.

Another thing is that for some reason, I can never, ever nudge people. Other players will drive right over me, graze me and knock me back, I've even been right beside another guy and side dashed him, only to bounce off and drop down two places.

I'm not really complaining. But it really does seem that last place gets the most shaders, and those are all I really care about.

Infinite Descent. I was desperately clinging onto third place with my veteran's sparrow against all the other noticeably superior SRL sparrows. I went off the jump by the floating Skiff, did a side boost just before I landed so I could hurl myself through a boost gate. That was when the physics went "-blam!- you and your hopes and especially your dreams" and I watched as my sparrow went into a wild corkscrew balanced on its nose as everyone else roared past me, assuring my resounding defeat. I needed one more 1-3rd place to complete my class A license. Fuuuuuuuuuuuu

Was in first place and 2 racers walled me into one of the fans last lap on mars, good times.
