Amazing how fast they put out a patch late at night to fix their wallet yet still screw over thousands of players with broken game mechanics. Hell, since TTK released the raid has had multiple bugs yet they go unfixed. Bungie in danger of losing some 10 dollar sales on their TWO MAP, ONE MODE "FREE EVENT"? patch overnight.
If you still support them after this you're nothing but a silver sucking desticle.
EDIT: let's see you defend bungie now, children. Cosmetics only, right guys? Paying for free dlc, right guys? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Shout out to people who waited months to get all 50 fragments and only got a timegated shader LOL

Edited by Zeezke: 12/11/2015 6:41:10 PMYelling at a company because they fixed a bug that cost them money.... You are a special kind of stupid.

Because it wasn't a physical object and was in an isolated part of the game x2. first eververes then sparrow racing. thorn took 8 months probably because they fixing every gun and numerous other things. all of which were physical items and things that had to interact with the environment, player models, PvE and PvP entities, etc. Use some common sense people.

I hate bungie so much n
-
I agree that Bungie has devolved into huge money grabbers but from a purely technical perspective, fixing a clear cut, logic break bug is very easy compared to fixing an individual items overall performance in a sea of weapons meta data...
-
Fixing an item vs a usable weapon are 2 completely different things
-
A better argument would be that the exotic leg engram hasn't been fixed.

I don't even know where to begin with this one...

You've got one fact give me more and you might have an argument, oh and try to provide a meaningful analysis too.

"Fixed an issue where the SRL Record Book, Vol. 1 items did not require the player to own the Record Book in order to acquire them." Well, it's funny how they will fix a glitch like this after two days, but when something is clearly unbalanced, it takes them 3 months but you know whatever. We learn a few things from this post. First of course, their greedy, and second, get ready to buy another record book. That's right. SRL Record Book, Vol. 1 Get ready to pay $10 every time you want to track your stats.
-
Edited by Mic Robo: 12/11/2015 5:09:40 PMI get why they had to fix it quick - wouldn't you be pissed if you spent $10 on something and then a bunch of cheaters got it for free? However, it doesn't excuse the fact they took too long to fix a lot of things and there are plenty of major things that still need fixing. Furthermore, I find it insulting that they're selling this record book; something that should be a FEATURE, akin to a scoreboard. The game should track my SRL stats for FREE, I shouldn't be asked to pay $10 for what other games would/do provide for FREE almost universally.

Thorn took 8 months because the gold you clowns write on the forums about it was way too entertaining to fix. That's my logic anyways

Something interesting i found in Activision's financial statements for 2014, looking forward to 2015 and 2016!: “Each day, active Destiny players spend more than three hours playing the game. That’s more time spent playing Destiny each day than average users engage with Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Netflix combined. We must be vigilant in building on our early success to ensure durable, lasting franchises for the future.” In 2014, we had six proven or new franchises each with over $250 million in revenue (nonGAAP), four of which were over $500 million each and two of which were over $1 billion in revenue each4 . As we look ahead, expanding and diversifying our portfolio to 10 will be no small accomplishment — but it’s what we believe will drive growth for years to come." So no pressure Bungie......

As far as I can tell...you're just another dumbass on the forums...so I'll try to avoid big words, and put it in terms you'll understand: It is easier to do what they did with the book and gear associated with it, than it is to go in and simply "fix" all the little things you cry about in the raid. Fix 1 line of code, -blam!- up a few 100 somewhere else. Adjusting the raid is more complex, and therefore harder and more time consuming than changing gear req locks and other minor things. "Ohhhhhh it's not that hard, they have plenty of time, oh it's super easy!!!" Funny...I didn't know you were a game dev? Huh. ALL companies care about their income, not just Bungie. All of the employees have families they take care of, as well as supporting themselves and their hobbies. ALL COMPANIES want to be successful. Bungie is doing what others have been doing for YEARS. So please shut the -blam!- up, and stop singling them out, as if it's any different from CoD micro trans, or any other lame ass game that tries to compete with Destiny.. Bungie is doing what they can, with what they have. Deal with it.

Curious, what bugs are in the Raid..? I've never come across any bugs. Sometimes there's some lag, but I've never come across a bug... Getting double ported, Atheon regenerating health, aegis randomly cancelling, defeating oracles but still being wiped to them... Those were bugs. & the list goes on for Crota. I haven't experienced anything of the sort in Oryx. Not even trying to be a dick, legitimately trying to learn what bugs are involved in Kings fall.

Adapt or get left behind that's the way of the world.

If you spend 10 dollars on something and then some other guy just walks over and takes it for free you're gonna want somebody to do something about wont you?
-
no sht you idiot....
-
Are you familiar with wu-tang? They have the answer for you.
-
Well, they had to delay Thorn balance so they could get the expansions ready to sell, so your point...actually kinda' holds up. I'm very irritated with Bungie and Destiny right now thanks to a very cloudy vision of what they're trying to do. I wish they could crack the code and provide some actual longevity rather than these short bursts of excitement that keep hitting lower and lower highs.
-
Not to mention the weapon tune update they failed at the other day.... couldn't even fes up to making a mistake, and to anyone who says otherwise hundredths of a percent are not even worth the code their write on. It takes to much work for that to be what they intended.

There's a difference between fixing a gun without upsetting people too much and fixing a glitch that caused people to waste their money
