A striking middle aged woman looks up from behind the desk " Ah Mr May I've been told to send you straight up, 12th floor, Francis will show you on from there."
-
He nods, taking the elevator to the 12th floor.

-
"I look young." He smirks and strides behind him.
-
they reach a heavy wooden door, he is about to knock when.... " Show Mr May in then leave us. comes a voice from inside the room.
-
Lance doesn't bother, opening the door himself and stepping in.
-
as he enters the room he is greeted by a large wood panelled. There is a large mahogany desk in the centre of the room. On the otherside is a man in his Middle Ages . Up right still a good looking man for his age, he looks tired though. please take a seat Mr May.
-
"I'll stand, thanks."
-
He sighs, and takes a seat. "she must be very angry. I'm not here to butt heads Lance, may I call you Lance?"
-
"Sure." Lance leans against the wall, his hand resting on the hilts of his swords in a non-threatening way. Habit.

I'm sure she has mentioned me and possibly even her upbringing , tell me what do you know about her mother. Or our family for that matter.
-
"I know her mom is missing, or dead. Your a general in the military, she grew up in the military, and your overprotective as hell. Now why am I here?"
-
her mother didn't disappear Raine murdered her,
-
Lance's expression doesn't change a bit. "Explain."

Edited by ChaiseShadows: 12/7/2015 2:07:14 AM Raine is an incredibly powerful telepath. I have kept her busy physically her whole life to prevent her mind wandering too much. Actually it's something common to our bloodline, we have had several powerful telepaths all of which turned into very unbalanced and dangerous people. All this has remained hidden from her, understand if you had been anyone else we would have pulled you out days ago. But I was assured you can take care of yourself. Anyway to the facts. Raine 'awoke' at around 3 years old. Her mother tried to tell me but I wouldn't listen she said the child was sick cruel I dismissed her. One day we came home in time to see my wife take her own life with Raine sitting beneath her clapping, she watched the light go from my wife's eyes and she smiled. We couldn't get her to leave until the link to my wife's mind had severed until she could no longer "find" her" it's unlikely anyone has been through the turmoil this guy has.

Lance's demeanor doesn't change. "So why am I here?"
-
you can make things more difficult by not accepting the situation and trying to free the caged bird ... Or you can help by making her imprisonment more bearable, you must understand she doesn't remember, did she ever mention a boyfriend to you
-
"I would prefer if you stop trying to dissuade me, and tell me how it is. I don't care about her past."
-
we never found out what she did with him I just thought she might have mentioned something to you, he was one of my soldiers I would like to give his body back to his family.
-
"Yeah, she did mention him. But her version of the story was different."
-
she told us he disappeared he was the soul provider for his sisters he wouldn't have just gone off, we were trying to get his siblings down to family barracks. They were meant to go for a walk after evening mess. When asked about it she said he had walked her back but the records show she passed checkpoint Charlie alone. That's the last check point before the officers residences.
-
"She told me because your overprotective, him going missing is your fault."
-
perhaps that's how she sees it, I have only interfered to prevent people getting hurt, I was well aware of who you were and that you've been intimate with her, I'm not asking you to let her go I' m asking you if you plan on staying around , help me keep her safe.
-
"It depends. What's your definition of keeping her safe?"
-
Edited by ChaiseShadows: 12/7/2015 2:28:40 AMMaking sure she doesn't wind up hurting someone else and end up in prison or worse.
