Pfft, that's hilarious.
But technically right.
Year Two weapon stats pale in comparison, Year One Exotics were far superior, and Raid weapons were too good.
Now, instead of being "too good" the raid weapons are terribad.

You cpuld get any other pulse and itd be better than smite. The recoil is shit on all of the weapons, not sure why they thought that was a good idea, since nobody actually uses cocoon with BH and ToM in everybodys hands

Yup and I can name a dozen other weapons off the top of my head that are better than the doom of chelcis.

I like the Doom solely for its looks and free Taken damage bonus. Other than that, yeah, it's quite mediocre. Not having to reload it is occasionally useful, though.

Yeah, I kept one because it had full auto. But I barely use it.
