You could do exactly the same with any other sniper, thats the thing.
Even you you fired it esporadically, probably you run into green boxes before, refilling your reserves in the process.
DPS = More damage in less time. The waiting times for bullet regen cripples de DPS. Then it was 8 secs per bulpet, making it less apealing.
