I love destiny and its been awesome to play since the beta, but sadly im leaving the game for some time. Im joining the marines and leaving for bootcamp this Sunday. Its been great being able to play with the few of you i could and i hope i can be back to playing it soon!!!!
EDIT: thank you all so much for the responses, i didnt think this would blow up like this. The support from all of you in the community is amazing and i really appreciate all the tips and tricks im getting for success. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH
EDIT: To everyone saying its for attention, my primary goal of posting this is the fact ive been playing for a long time, ive grown to love this game and the people i play with. It may not have been you or anyone you know but for the few that do then hey i had a great time playing with you and cant wait to play again. Im not an attention whore or whatever i just love the game and the community. But rather then be another "I'm leaving destiny" post like you see every other day, id put my reason for leaving.

Did 7 years and 3 combat tours with the Army. Take care of yourself. I have a feeling we'll be putting boots on the ground again very shortly. If that happens, I'll do my best to get my 32 year old ass back out and into the fight.

Good luck and even through I may not know you God speed soldier :)

Edited by AnomScrubLord: 11/29/2015 7:47:40 AMCan someone educate me in something please. Why are people mad about the U.S not going to war with isis? People want to better the economy yet they want us to go into another war? Wouldn't that just make things at home worse? Why do people want to send our troops into battle with them aka fathers and sons to go die in combat when Russia and France are already taking care of isis with the mass bombing they've been doing lately. Sure they probably won't get them all but they're hitting them hard. So why do Americans get mad when we don't want to go to war when we just got out of one thanks to bush? Wouldn't it be better for us to not have to spend more money on war and have troops die more in a war against isis and let France and Russia take care of it? Either my logic is flaw or I seriously don't understand people. Someone please educate me about this because I seriously don't understand. From my understanding have we been hit here in American soil at home by isis like France did? Sure they're our enemies and they hate our guts but they're all talk against us and they don't do shit here at home.

Woo! Join the elite group that makes up less than 1% of the population of the US. Words of wisdom from a vet to the FNG: if you're getting MREs, avoid the egg ones as much as possible. Mazel tov and salud to you

Boot Camp is fun...but after that it's all downhill. I just hope your not another one of those kids who got pulled in from a smooth talking recruiter. (<- Was in Marines for 8 years, and to this day still thinks it was a terrible life decision)
