You are crack on. The individual gun nerfs were PvP related, but the wholesale rendering of all year one weapons and gear to worthless? No one wanted that, there was no hew and cry. That was Bungie course correcting and a complete reversal of DeeJ's own words. Not that we are not used to that...
Seriously, point to any post that complained about field scout, firefly, or the variety of gun perks we had. Final round? Sure. Shot package and range finder? Sure.
Where did anyone post, "I sure wish Nightfall rewards would be removed, the XP bonus and great weapon drops!"?
Where did anyone post, "You know, people do these old raids too much. If only there was some way to make the year one content completely irrelevant..."?
Where did anyone post, "I'm tired of playing the old stuff. I wish they would paywall or close off entirely large pieces of the game..."?
Place the blame where it belongs - squarely in the lap of a group of "developers" who are quickly gaining a reputation for unerringly making decisions which make their "MMO" more confined, restricted, and less fun with each "addition".
I agree- this man has literally summed up the devs and this game as a whole.

Wholesale removal of year one legendaries would be a blessing (atleast in crucible)... So sick of felwinters/secret handshake/[insert random top tier PvP weapon here], when you've spent time and gotten a sweet roll on a weapon just to have a bunch of y1-crutchers hopping around blowing you to bits. Other than that it was pretty spot on.

I enjoy the ride.
-
TTK has the better system and I'm glad they left all y1 legendaries behind.

It was me who asked back in August for NF rewards to be removed. Told Bungie i was tired of getting exotics i already had and wanted the loot table to consist mainly of strange coins so i could purchase more synths. Bungie sent me a pm thanking me for my feedback and the unique lightbulb emblem in my postmaster. YW

You guys all cried for it when you wouldn't stop getting on here day after day after day and yelling to the heavens about nerfing this and that is unfair and this has to change and how can Bungie allow this or that and so on and so forth. All of the complainers are the ones to thank for all of this nonsense. Now all it is instead of actual gunfights is go find that guy hiding in the Corning spawn sniping. You begged and pleaded for the changes, now deal with them.

This post hit the nail on the head. I only wish the developers would actually listen to the community and be honest with us. Too bad neither of those things will ever happen

Edited by Killmonger: 11/5/2015 1:17:43 AMSome of this is the truth and it's a shame because this game has so much potential. The devs constantly do unnecessary things and now it's to the point that it feels like i'm forcing myself to play destiny. All exotics should've carried over into year 2 with the new ones and stop restricting vault space there should be far more than 72 slots. Also make the vault of glass and crota's end as hard as kings fall raid allowing these raids to drop 300-320 light gear to make the game more interesting. I could name more stuff but i'd be here all day but these are just some of the stuff i'd like to see.

I stopped reading after I saw, "You are crack on."

Yeah. Theyve decided to restrict ammo a whole lot more. Ice breaker nerf. It's already useless. Special ammo timers. Crucible. Armentarium year 1 only. Max rockets carried 6 no longer 8. Hc ammo reduced amount carried. Invective seems slower to make ammo also. Nerf to field scout? No idea why? It's not like a 160-170 attack weapon needs nerfed now. Nerf to enemies spawns, and xp. It's like saying. We prefer you just go play another game. But if u don't. Plan to grind more. Because u didn't do it enough in year 1.

People can write a book when complaining about Destiny but cant type an essay for English class. Lol
-
Summed it up for me too.

As much as I miss it, field scout was a crutch perk that allowed for no variety. firefly wasn't nerfed was it? and nightfall xp just forced me to do nightfall before everything else, which was boring and a pain

Bump to the sky man. All truth..

Bump Exactly

i have been hooked on this game for almost a year now and really i can't wait for fallout 4 to bring me out of this misery that be destiny im so tired of grinding and wait for expansion over and over ......these guys can't seem to figure it out so its so long when fallout arrives ......see ya destiny

Maybe Bungie doesn't understand #satire. Of course we want the best parts of the game rendered useless!
-
To all those saying "why would I want to use the same guns for 10 years. " Answer me this, is there any reason we couldn't have a gun that could match the strength of our favorite year 1 weapons? Does bungie lack the capability to give us more actual additions to our game? Why does each" expansion" reduce our available arsenal?
