You are crack on. The individual gun nerfs were PvP related, but the wholesale rendering of all year one weapons and gear to worthless? No one wanted that, there was no hew and cry. That was Bungie course correcting and a complete reversal of DeeJ's own words. Not that we are not used to that...
Seriously, point to any post that complained about field scout, firefly, or the variety of gun perks we had. Final round? Sure. Shot package and range finder? Sure.
Where did anyone post, "I sure wish Nightfall rewards would be removed, the XP bonus and great weapon drops!"?
Where did anyone post, "You know, people do these old raids too much. If only there was some way to make the year one content completely irrelevant..."?
Where did anyone post, "I'm tired of playing the old stuff. I wish they would paywall or close off entirely large pieces of the game..."?
Place the blame where it belongs - squarely in the lap of a group of "developers" who are quickly gaining a reputation for unerringly making decisions which make their "MMO" more confined, restricted, and less fun with each "addition".
I agree- this man has literally summed up the devs and this game as a whole.

This is so true.
-
Nerfs aren't for the sake of it. The enemies in PvE can't bitch on the forums like we can, so someone has to point out when our guns are too powerful
-
Agree
-
So who thinks Bungie had it right with the HoW's light level system?
-
Hey Gurdians I shared this on my FB might as well go for my nerd community I love you all. Check out my Go fund me link if you have the means. gofundme.com/tp8q5dtw

You know someone's never played a loot based game before when they post stuff like this. Why should a weapon from 200 light raid be just as viable as a weapon from a 300 light raid? When you got your first green at level 3, did you complain that your white weapons were no longer useful?
-
Bump agree, cept old raids should stay old
-
I agree with this guy below me. I think eventually they will make the old raids relevant again.
-
Ok, I am really not ok with a lot of the crap that Bungie has pulled lately, but in regards to old raids not being relevant...I have to ask you one thing. Have you ever played an MMO? Ever? WoW? Guild wars? Everquest? Old content becomes irrelevant all the time. It's just how it goes when a game is constantly growing and being expanded on. So I suggest you get over that sooner rather than later. Otherwise, butts will hurt. That being said, I wish the old strikes would be made into heroics. That is just silly. So while I'm right there with you on these in-asked-for BS changes, I just had to ask that question.

The problem here is that you and the person you quoted seem to think that Destiny is your intellectual property. That we as the consumer call the shots on how this product develops. We don't. Bungie do. It is theirs to do with as they will, you merely pay to play it. That is true for almost every product sold. Sure companies will listen to feedback and may act upon it but it is their right to do what they want with their product. Of course, they are going to try to make it appeal to the widest audience, and by definition that means it will not appeal to everyone. So with Destiny, they make changes that they see fit to make. You like some, you dont like others. You can comment, they may listen but ultimately you make a choice with your feet, you either stay and take what they give you or you go elsewhere. Stop treating this with a sense of entitlement to get what YOU want.
