You're right. The best way to fight back is to not play. I already uninstalled Destiny. The last week seeing people pay for emotes gave me a vision on where this game was going. Even so when Luke Smith told us to pretty much buy Destiny again with the 2 expansions we paid for already cause if we saw the dances moves and Year 1 Exotic Class items we would "Throw money at our screen."
There are games like Warframe who have a much smaller budget and they give this stuff away for free. It's not a sense of entitlement. It's a good practice. Game Developers give you stuff to appreciate you. Not make you dish out more money.
Look at Battlefield 4. They just let the community vote on a map and gave it to everyone FOR FREE.
Regardless, you can lead horse to water but you can't make him drink. That's how I feel about most people in these forums. Fan boy Goggles blinding then to the truth.
The moment Bungie sees a drastic player base drop, they'll bend over backwards to give back to the community. And I'm not talking Holiday events that turn into "grind this for that mask etc"
This is hands down the worst community I have seen in gaming. Wake up.

You log into warframe today? Free moe's for movenber, good to see a company give a crap about mens health for a change, and a palette set, a excaliber bobble head for free and a syndana for a lowish level defence mission. Not to mention this free update gave a new frame, lots of new enemies, a new prime frame/weapons/kubrow armour. Oh yeah, two new quest lines. That free update was larger than the whole of ttk dlc, half of which is still time gated, so was the last update that came out the same week as ttk, hard to see the value in destiny. And my favorite, Nyx's chaos has had its cooldown removed, no need to kill everything to reset the timer, spam it to your hearts content! Trying to remember why I liked playing destiny, can't honestly remember when that was, vanilla vog? A loooong time ago anyway.
