I'm on Xbox One and currently looking into a wireless gaming headset for around $200. I am starting to play crucible more and more and feel that a decent headset would help me notice enemies sooner.
I'm wondering what the more seasoned players use (besides Astro's, $200 is my limit).
Edit: Figured I would summarize what I am seeing the most.
AstroA40 (some sets can be bought for under $200)
Turtle Beach XO Seven
TB XO Four
Stock headset
HyperX Cloud II
TB XO One
Based on all of the feedback I am seeing, I think I will go with the XO Sevens to save some money and get the best of all aspects.

A50's Especially if you're going to play for more than 3 or 4 hours. Super comfortable.
-
I use my A40s for everything, they've served me well for years.

Beats buds. Cost me bout $150 last Christmas for them. Although on my secondary blue colored ps4 controller they can be used to hear but not talk is annoying.
-
Turtle Beaches z11s. $25, I've had them for 1 hear now and no problems. Great base and audio, you can hear game sounds and chat sounds.
-
I have elite 800x but wouldn't honestly recommend them if your budget was $300. There is a step down from them that friends I have use and they love them.
-
Hyper x clouds you can get them for less than 100 and they are great

I used to be a mlg player ranked pretty high, I only ever used A40 7.1Dolby with my 1ms benq, but destiny I use my trittons ax720 pros much better mic and very similar quality. Best headset for the money's id say.

Edited by Behemoth: 11/3/2015 9:20:04 PMHyper X Cloud II: -At $100 they provide the same audio as Astros A40 do for $150 less. -It not wise to purchase Headsets $100+ for Destiny: Footsteps are unnoticeable Radar replaces lack of audio cues Destiny is not a competitive game -I own Astro A40, A50, Infected Audio Headset, Hyper X Cloud II

I use the turtle beach 500x headsets. They are very nice. Full wireless which I love. I don't know where you live but I'm in Indiana. They are only $170 at gamestop.

Black Friday is coming up if you can hold out. You can probably get the most bang for your buck then. Monitor slickdeals.net

HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset for $99.

TB PX4. Brilliant 5:1 sound and crystal clear chat to and from. Very comfortable to wear and easily eight hours battery life. They need a chat cable to controller but other than that they are spot on for my needs.

A headset won't help in Destiny much. You'll be able to hear gun fire and revives but you won't hear footsteps unless the buddy breaks his legs from falling. You can probably hear footsteps but your headset would have to be really loud and going deaf isn't worth it. I'm not saying don't get a headset. I'm just warning you it won't be to beneficial in Destiny but it does make any game feel more immersive and making you really appreciate the game more. It goes from being just some game to art in a sense, the music and everything gets a lot better. You feel more in the game but don't forget to go outside.

Xbox One Stereo headset works just fine for me! Has wired connection to your controller but who cares, its cheap, sturdy, good sound quality and reliable! Happy Days!!!

Anyone know of an Xbox One wireless headset that is similar to the Tritton Warhead for 360 (i.e. one that doesn't need a cord to the controller to use voice chat)?
