DeadSpace is my favorite series. I have enjoyed and played every game many many times. DS1, DS2, DS3, and even the Wii based DS: extraction was cool.
I don't care what anyone says about DS3. I have enjoyed them ALL. Sure some of the DS games were more dedicated to certain genres than others. But just like all the Alien movies, I still enjoy each one of them all the same.
Isaac Clarke is one of my favorite protagonists ever. I love his backstory. I love the lore. I love the sound and lighting. I love everything about DeadSpace. And the tense, isolated, scavenging style is exactly what I want from a "scary" type of game.
If Steve P. is not involved with the next DeadSpace game, assuming EA signs off on a new DS game, it will be a negative thing for the series.
EA needs to let go of the idea that every game could and should be a record breaking title. Niche genres don't need to appeal to large sales demographics. Don't give horror-based games such giant budgets. It is not needed and forces unrealistic sales expectations on the genre.
