I noticed a passage in the Grimoire that implies that ascendant(maybe all?) hive get stronger when they kill an enemy, after enough power is gained they end up transferring some of their power to the hive leaders to feed the leaders worms within themselves. So in the game shouldn't the hive literally get stronger when they kill a guardian? Do they? I'm not sure really.
