really? If you play any MMO there is time gated stuff... like in ff14 right now, Halloween event. Yeah it might no be the same but its content they consider "Event" worthy. Give you something to do every couple of weeks instead of being bored for 5 weeks waiting for "Hard" And if hard mode was there from the start, About 80% of people would probably be done with this game and off some where else waiting for something new.

Thats is why I don't play other MMO. I don't care what they are doing.

1) "Because it was done before" is not a compelling argument for why its still being done nor change the fact its bad design. You use to have to sit in one spot grinding the same monsters for 40 hours to reach max level too. That doesn't mean it was a good thing. 2) Seasonal events is hardly an apt comparison. Though the image of a kid complaining that Santa is timegating his presents is amusing. 3) I don't buy this repeated argument that people would stop playing, complain or otherwise fark off if they weren't being forced to wait 2 weeks for 1 exotic they may or may not even use. If whether or not you play a game hinges entirely on whether or not it keeps forcing you to arbitrarily wait for a week for a single item of debatable usefulness then you need better taste in games.

With these, what i consider "events" in middle of week. Give me something to do besides strikes and pvp. I think its fine. What i dont think is fine is waiting a week in middle of the quest on EVER SINGLE ONE! thats stupid . give me a quest that takes Time to do, not takes time to wait. Also . LoL at kid waiting for presents
