Never bothered with re rolling- still have over 3000 parts and 2000 motes

Sounds like you don't upgrade anything. Seriously though, nothing is better than getting a raid gear drop and having it fully leveled 30 seconds later using motes.
-
Haha wish it was like that! I infuse things everyday and have almost all 310 gear and over 300 gear on my other characters, so I use them frequently. So lost on how nobody has them!

HOW MANY items do you have at that level? That's the question. My highest level item (before I got my exotic sword last night) was 299. But I have close to half dozen legendary weapons (at similar levels) in EVERY gear slot. The only way someone is not hemorrhaging weapon parts in this new economy is if they are level up VERY few weapons. Great for them if they want to play the game that way. I DON"T. I want to try as many as possible, and USE the weapons I feel are best suited for the fight I'm going into. In previous versions of fhe game I could easily do that. But the changes with 2.0 have turned the availability of weapon parts into a HUGE chokepoint.

I have 5 primaries above 300 (1 is 310) I have 7 secondaries above 300 (2 at 309) I have 6 heavies above 300 (2 at 310) I only use raid gauntlets, so the rest of my gear has been infused up to 310 (besides cloak and boots 😠) on my hunter. Then my warlock also have infused gear up to 306 light. BUT, I think the biggest thing is that I play a LOT. I have 28 days played on my hunter alone. And do a lot of court of oryx and get really lucky with engram drops. I usually dismantle anywhere between 20-30 legendary engram every week.
I usually dismantle anywhere between 20-30 legendary engram every week.
...and that's the issue. You are an MAJOR outlier. I play daily. Not only do I NOT get that many legendary WEAPON endrams in the course of a week...I don't get that many weapon engrams PERIOD in a week. To evcen try to attempt to move towards numbers like yours (in terms of engrams for weapon parts) would require more game time than my lifestyle permits....and endlessly grinding parts of the game that I don't enjoy playing on a daily basis. ...and I think the typical experience of the daily player is closer to mine, than yours.

That could be very true, and that's why I threw that out there to explain my numbers. I understand its RNG and people don't always have very much time to play, so I'm not gonna be a jerk about it

I actually had to transfer weapon parts to my main after hitting 3. I was annoyed.

I never did either, and I've been at around 0 weapon parts since the First week of TTK. Never donated to factions either.
