Oh yeah, i don't expect there to be a full polished ready for retail edition. But some buggy bare bones pre-alpha version with parts missing here and there. I mean according to the time line of things the "big cut" was only 7 months from it's original release date until it was pushed back to September. So it couldn't have been far off completion. Shame we'll never know what Destiny was originally intended to be.

It would be interesting for sure.... but I doubt they had anything worthwhile in-game, otherwise they would've gone further with that. I guess most of the "cut" content was in the storyboard- and conceptstage. But like with Mass Effect 3, I'm super-curious what the original story would've be like... but I probably imagine it far better in my head than what they actually had.... lol....

I mean if you read the article and you can take these "anonymous employees" for their word added with what we can see in the 2013 vi-docs. Alot of it was very much created and way past the concept stage. Even a bad coherent story would be better than no story at all! But, then again it could have been absolute shite haha

I've read the article, with concept-stage I mean that's it's not yet fully realized within the game engine. They obviously were more or less done with the story, hence the supercut but I guess that at this point is was more slide-show and concept art than in-game rendered stuff.

aNeither of us could really know. I think the article leans more towards the game was practically completed you seem to think the other direction. No point in us really speculating either way really. It's pretty apparent they fcked up massively somewhere. I had fun playing Destiny but i'm glad i got out when i did. Here's to hoping they can put together fully working Destiny 2 without all the cock ups this one has been plagued with.

I'm pretty sure that Destiny 2 will be a much improved experience... :-) My reasoning is this: they obviously had time problems, hence the delay to september, so why should they cut content that is nearly completed? If you have no time to spare, you use what you have.... so I guess they cut everything that was in such an early state of development that it wasn't feasible to include in the retail version. But it is quite a moot point now... and I have much more important stuff to do.... like getting No Time to Explain :-D
