Stretch it out for, what, an hour or two longer if even? There's really nothing left. The only other exotics missing are armor pieces that really don't seem worth waiting around for. Hell, a lot of people are reaching a point where the only thing left to do is the raid 3 times a week.

Exactly what I'm saying. People run out of things to do in this game quickly. By having small missions come out every week or two to get new items and exotics, it keeps people coming back and gives them a reason to play more.
