I compulsively mute my mic and only un-mute to speak to the fireteam. But, this happened last week. I was with a LFG randoms group and we were on golgoroth. Someone called for a bio-break and we came back in 5. One guy is obviously talking to a girl on the phone based on the things he was saying. It wasn't his girlfriend, but a girl he was hitting on. He also, very obviously, was not listening to us because we were all yelling at him to play again. Someone starts shooting the orb to proc the fight and he gets up and starts playing, still talking on the phone. He dies pretty quickly but we carry on. Revived, dies shortly after. Someone starts talking major shit to this dude because he is still talking on the phone and not really playing. He doesn't respond and keeps talking on the phone like nothing was happening. We wipe, and dude talking on the phone starts shooting the orb to start the fight again. But he's still talking on the phone. Everyone just starts reeming the shit out of this dude. I mean, I've never heard such a solid string of insults spewed out in proper fashion. And I felt like the dude could hear us, because we could all hear him. Nobody fights the adds and circles around his dead ghost and literally start yelling profanities to which he does not respond at all. Finally, I unmute and say boot the -blam!-er, then we all realize, he's the fireteam leader. *player x leaves fireteam *player x wants you to play destiny We all just left him there.
