Eventually, we will have to face Oryx again.
That's right. You heard it first.
Oryx is one of three siblings. All 3 of them are the most powerful of all Hive, and due to the nature of their power, all 3 of them can be resurrected after death. All 3 of them have done this countless times before.
So in other words, eventually we will face off against either one or both of Oryx siblings, and either they will revive Oryx (for us to kill him again) OR we will need to stop them before they finish his revival.
Destiny 2 story arc confirmed ;)
English
-
Oryx killed his sisters in their throne worlds, so they are dead. And oryx is dead. Like actually dead
-
Oyrx and his sisters killed each other's material bodies multiple times. But if their ascendant souls were ever killed, they are gone forever. This is why his daughters tried to separate themselves from their deaths by creating an Oversoul, which Crota used.
-
Oryx is dead dead
-
Won't be destiny 2 the hive/taken will be rested for a few dlcs now I expect the cabal for next major expansion.
-
Didn't oryx kill one of his sister's for good?
-
Yea he killed her in her throne room
-
We beat oryx in his throne place so he's dead dead
-
Well, if you read the book of sorrows as it appears you have, you know that all we have to do is beat them in their thrown worlds/realms as we did with Crota
-
And oryx. Where did you think we killed him for the raid?

Edited by SebaFFM: 10/15/2015 7:53:48 AMWe killed oryx on the dreadnought in orbit above Jupiter.. Not in his own dimension whatsoever... I'm also curious what happened to his worm.. Edit.. SATURN.. Not Jupiter.
-
The dreadnaught is his throne world. He moved his throne world their after crota opened another dimension thing and the vex came in.
-
Look into the grimoire. He actually merged his throne world with his Dreadnaught.
-
Read the grimoire. Book of sorrows grimoire. That is his throne world.
-
Just did.. Turns out he melted the ship (which is not the needle) and his throne into one.. My bad. Still wondering about his worm though..
-
Oryx's worm is in the touch of malice
-
That's the question. What happens to a worm if it's host dies? My guess is the worm dies, but who knows.

Edited by FrenchFries: 10/15/2015 7:48:44 AMNo sure if satire or retarded

Also check the message on your profile.. It should say 'you're high..'
-
Why'd you only call me when your high. Is a song. Educate yourself.
-
It's an Arctic Monkey song.. The title is.. '... when you are high..'(=you're, declination of 'to be').. not' when your high' (your = possession.. My high, their high, our high, your high.. Catch the drift? ) still, what was wrong about my original post stating we didn't kill orxy in his throne dimension..?
-
Well the dreadnought is his throne world. We killed him in it, therefore he cannot be brought back to life.
-
Grimoire refers to the dreadnaught as 'the needle' (the worm and the needle grimoire) .. Orxy is killed by his sister for showing mercy while waging war..On board the needle/dreadnaught (dreadnought? His bigass ship..) .. His death there created his throne realm (grimoire weakness verse, don't ask me why and how.. Worm stuff I guess, space magic.. ) We did not enter his realm, We boarded his ship.. He was abolished from our realm and lost his body, he died just like he died when he was killed by his sister for the first time.. His essence or whatnot is now in his throne realm.. Waiting for resurrection.. and Oryx Worm is still out there too (it's a strange kind of symbiosis, the worms feed of every hives victim, and if a hive guy stopps killing, the worm will devour the hive guy and search for a stronger, better host..) It's been a while since I've read the grimoire, but it's in the first 10-15 books of sorrow
-
After we killed him once we entered his throne world and killed him again in the raid.

If you're asking why we killed him twice, it's because he cannot die in the material world. He wasn't in his throne room when we killed him in the story so we kill him in his throne world in the raid
