Back in the '80s and '90s you'd be lucky to get 10 hours out of a $50 game ($80 today). You kids don't know how good you have it.

It was cutting edge back then and brand new tech. Not equal comparison.

It's an excellent comparison. You get so much more content now than in the 90's, games are basically free now. I used to be happy when I got 10-15 hours of entertainment out of a 50-60$ game.

The OP is making a value argument. I am providing context. Even in today's market 8-12 hours is common for a $60 game. The arguments around TTK's lack of perceived value are intentionally ignorant. Of course any game is a ripoff if you use Skyrim or Civilization as a benchmark. But that's not intellectually honest.
